This 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible with 23,000 miles currently showing is powered by a 1600cc air-cooled block that has been upgraded with a 1700cc big bore kit and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, the engine was rebuilt less than 100 miles ago and included a 1700 cc big bore kit with new pistons/sleeves and rings topped off with new Empi big valve heads, and pushrods. Other recent upgrades include a newer convertible top, Dual Kadron carbs, aftermarket exhaust, two new tires, and newer floor pans. This white 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible with blue interior is available now and comes with a clear title in the owner’s name.
The body is finished in white and retains all its factory chrome and stainless trim, emblems and handles. A chrome bumper, stock headlights and fenders with amber turn signal lights can be found in front. The dual exhaust exits under the chrome bumper below the stock taillights, license plate frame, and Volkwagen emblem in the rear. A newer tan convertible soft top can be seen as well. The seller states that the body is in fairly good cosmetic shape but needs some TLC, and there is rust on the fenders. Additional photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.
A set of Empi 8-spoke gold wheels with white center caps wrapped in BF Goodrich tires. According to the seller, the front tires were just replaced.
The interior is furnished with front bucket seats covered in original patterned blue vinyl with a matching back seat. The door shell is painted white with a light blue upholstered panel insert containing the exit handle and manual window cranks, accessory pocket, and dark blue arm rest. White carpeting with black rubber floor mats cover the floor boards throughout.
The stock steel dashboard is finished in white and houses a round 90-mph speedometer containing a 5-place odometer reading 22923, oil, headlight and turn signal indicator lights, fuel gauge, headlight and wiper knobs, 2-knob radio, and glove box. The stock steering column is topped with a stock black half horn ring steering wheel. A black 4-speed manual shifter is located between the 2 front bucket seats.

This Beetle contains all its original front and rear independent suspension. The front inner and outer tie rods have been replaced. New floor pan halves have been installed. According to the seller, the emergency brake cable and one heater box cable need to be replaced.
The seller has a speedometer cable on order that will be included with the sale.
