Vehicle Story

This custom 1939 Ford Standard Tudor Sedan was built approximately 12 years ago and received a 350ci V8 engine and a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission under previous ownership. The seller has owned the car for the last four years and had the gearbox rebuilt and the car fitted with new running boards, two-tone leather seats, carpeting, gauges, and audio. New wheels and tires were installed in 2018. Other features include front disc brakes and a Super Bell front axle with a 2-inch drop. Finished in light blue over a cream and orange interior, this modified classic Ford is available now with receipts and a clear title in the seller's name.

The light blue exterior features a split grille with horizontal vanes, front fender vents, a one-piece windshield, side mirrors, black running boards, dual rear windows, teardrop taillights, and a third brake light below a yellow 1939 Texas license plate. Brightwork trim accents the hood, grille, headlights, body sides, and other areas. The seller reports the paint is in good condition but acknowledges that it does have a few blemishes.

In 2018, the car received a new set of smoothie wheels with baby moon hubcaps and beauty rings as well as new Yokohama tires, which have significant tread depth remaining, according to the seller.

Under current ownership, the car was furnished with new carpeting and a leather interior consisting of a headliner, cream bench seats, and door panels accented with orange piping. In addition, the window surrounds, door frame trim, dashboard, steering column, 2-spoke steering wheel, shifter base, and front lap belts are orange. Equipment includes manual window cranks and a new aftermarket audio head unit with a remote control located inside the glove compartment. The seller notes that the car is not equipped with A/C or power steering.

The new instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. According to the seller, the odometer shows 10K miles, but true mileage is unknown. The car has reportedly only been used in the summer months and driven locally in Denver.

The previous owner had a 350ci V8 and a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission installed. Under current ownership, the gearbox was rebuilt. The seller reports that the engine has only accrued 2,000 miles since it was put in.

The front end features a Super Bell axle with a 2-inch drop. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. A new gas tank supplies fuel to the engine.

Receipts from the previous and current owners will be included with the purchase of the vehicle.

The rust spot is just that a spot smaller that an ink pen cap. It is located on front of fender behind driver door. There is not a windshield wiper motor installed. Could be installed in right kick panel. No blades either. No extra parts. No AC but can be installed. You could drive this car to Boston. I have driven to car shows in several cities around Texas min drive 2 1/2 hours at a time. It is a fun car and gets a lot of compliments. Let me know if you need anything else. Thank You Ron

Hi, there is a picture of a hole and rust..where is that specifically located on the car? Is there a windshield wiper motor installed? Are there wiper blades with the car? Are there extra parts included, if so is there a list of those parts? It does not look as if there is AC..is air conditioning ? what is needed to drive the car fromTexas to Boston Mass ? please be honest and list all or anything that this car needs to be a reliable safe "driver". I realize it is not a show car..but it looks like a fun "driver" I'm interested..need answers before I bid.............Thanks, Bob
