This 1950 Ford Custom 2 door sedan is powered by a 239ci flathead Ford V8 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Features include a 6-volt electrical system, front disc brakes, an AM radio, and a Magic Air heater. Now available, this red Ford Custom with a gray cloth interior is available now and comes with a car cover and a clear Pennsylvania title from the selling dealer.
The body is finished in red and wears chrome trim, emblems, and door handles. Chrome peep mirrors are mounted on the left and right doors. A chrome bumper with bumper guards, a chrome bullet grille, round headlights, and hood trim can be seen in the front. A chrome bumper with guards, cat-eye taillights with blue dots, and reverse lights can be found in the rear.
A set of steel wheels color-matched to the exterior are wrapped in thin-whitewall tires. Chrome dog dish hubcaps are mounted to the center of the wheels.
The interior is furnished with a front bench seat covered in 2-tone gray striped cloth, a matching rear seat, and gray carpet covers the floor throughout. All window garnish moldings are metallic gray with 2-tone gray door panels finished with chrome manual window cranks and exit handles. An AM radio is located in the factory opening and a clock is mounted in the center of the dash below the radio speaker grille. A Magic Air heater is installed under the dash and the standard-shift steering column is topped with a white Ford 2-spoke steering wheel with a horn ring. A matching full-size spare and black vinyl mat can be found in the trunk, and a tear is noted in the driver's seat.
The steel dashboard and the front window reveal is finished in metallic gray. The dashboard houses a 100-mph speedometer that incorporates the fuel, heat, temperature, and voltage gauges as well as headlight and windshield wiper switches, the ignition, climate controls, and cigarette lighter. According to the selling dealer, this 1950 Ford has 71,000 miles, but total mileage is unknown.
The Ford 239ci flathead V8 is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. A chrome oil-bath air filter, oil filler tube, 6-volt generator, and external oil filter are present. A brass-topped radiator with a chrome support is cooled by a mechanical fan.
Front disc brakes have been installed to help bring the car to a stop. A full-length dual exhaust system with chrome tips exits at the rear.
A car cover is included with the sale of the vehicle, and two videos of the vehicle idling are available below.
AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 2/9/22 8:30 AM: While the selling dealer believes the 71k miles on the vehicle are accurate, the title shows mileage exempt and the total cannot be confirmed and should be considered unknown.
