1962 Chevrolet Corvette 327/300

This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in Ermine White over a red interior and underwent a full frame-off restoration in 2015. Power is delivered by a period-correct 327ci V8 paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include power windows, hidden stereo, and a new convertible top. Owned by the seller for 3 years, this 1962 Corvette is now offered with a clear Alabama title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in its factory shade of Ermine white with matching covers during the 2015 restoration, while a new black soft top was added as well. The body features a wrap-around windshield and bumpers, quad round taillights, and creased rear quarter panels.

The car rides on 15" steel wheels fitted with factory polished hubcaps. The wheels are mounted to a set of period-correct white stripe bias-ply tires. Equipped with manual drums on all four corners, the braking system has recently been adjusted in anticipation of the sale.

The interior features bucket seats upholstered in red vinyl with matching door panels and carpet. A polished trim plate on the transmission hump houses the shifter for the automatic transmission, while a locking storage compartment is located vertically between the seats. The door panels feature polished trim accents as well as switches for power windows that were added during the 2015 restoration.

A red three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of factory instrumentation, including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage. A brushed trim plate surrounds the analog clock as well as controls for the climate system in the center of the dash. The original radio has been removed and a block-off plate installed in its place, however, a hidden modern stereo head unit with iPhone connectivity has been added. The five-digit analog odometer reads 94K, 350 of which have been added by the seller in 3 years of ownership.

The car is powered by a non-original 327ci V8 rated at 300 horsepower which was added during the restoration in 2015. The car retains many of its factory-correct components including chrome air cleaner, orange valve covers, exhaust manifolds, hardware, and hoses. During the restoration, the engine bay was cleaned, prepped, and resprayed in the correct matte black. A 3-speed automatic transmission transfers power to the rear wheels.
