This 1941 Ford Super Deluxe convertible survivor is powered by a 221ci flathead V8 backed by a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission. Features include a power convertible top, a Columbia 2-speed rear axle, whitewall tires, and fender skirts. This 1941 Ford Super Deluxe still has much of its original black paint and features a tan convertible top over an oxblood vinyl interior and is available now with a clear title from the selling dealer.
According to the selling dealer, this Ford has been well preserved over its 80+ years. It shows no signs of rust and still wears most of its original black paint, which reportedly shows some checking in certain areas. A tan power convertible top with twin electric screws covers the passenger compartment. Chrome and stainless trim, emblems, and handles are in place. The chrome front bumper with bumper guards features working aftermarket Unity amber fog lights. A chrome rear bumper with a 5-piece overrider set is mounted under the trunk lid handle, license plate mount, and taillights.
A set of black steel wheels with trim rings and Ford-script hubcaps come wrapped in Ford-script 6.00-16 bias-ply whitewall tires. The rear wheel wells are fitted with body-color fender skirts.
The interior is furnished with oxblood vinyl covering the door panels, front bench seat, and matching rear seat. A tan convertible top boot has been installed. A tan vinyl floormat covers the front floor while tan carpeting covers the rear floorboards. The dashboard wears a woodgrain finish and a cream insert. The tan steering column is equipped with a manual shifter and an aftermarket turn signal switch. The matching tan 2-spoke steering wheel is equipped with a half horn ring. A heater unit is mounted to the firewall below the dashboard. The trunk has black sideboards with a black panel located behind a whitewall bias-ply spare that matches the four main tires.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, amps, and coolant temperature. The 5-digit odometer shows 599 miles, but true mileage is unknown.
The 221ci flathead V8 is connected to a 3-speed manual transmission. A single-barrel carburetor, oil bath filter, and a 6-volt generator are present. The radiator is cooled by a mechanical fan. A 6-volt battery and a Holley 88R-VR2 voltage regulator are mounted on the firewall.
The solid I-beam front axle is equipped with a single piece wishbone. A single full-length exhaust travels over the Columbia 2-speed rear axle and exits below the back bumper. Additional underbody photos can be found in the carousel to the right.

One day to go on this magnificent Super Deluxe convertible! This is an exceptional example of a 40's Ford. It looks wonderful inside and out. It has a functional speedometer, gauges, headlights, fog lights, dash lights, turn signals, dash lights, wipers, horn, heater, parking brake, power top, trunk springs, two-speed rear end, and more. It runs and drives great and the brakes have just been redone. Note too it doesn't smell like it was in grandma's garage for 50 years. We have a ways to go on this one but I know how things can get at the end; hopefully we can find this Ford a new home!
