This 1951 Plymouth Cambridge is a four-door sedan powered by a 218ci L-head I6 coupled with a 3-speed manual transmission. It features chrome bumpers, brightwork trim, full wheel covers, and whitewall tires. Inside, it comes equipped with front and rear vent windows, manual main windows, an electric choke, and a push-button radio. Finished in light blue over a tan cloth interior, this first-year Plymouth Cambridge is available now and comes from the selling dealer with service manuals, a parts catalog, and a clear title.
The Cambridge came out as a 1951 model and served as Plymouth's mid-range offering until 1952 before becoming the brand's base car in 1953. This particular 1951 Cambridge has a light blue exterior, a hood ornament, chrome bumpers with guards, and brightwork trim on its front fenders and rear quarter panels, front sunshade, beltline, rocker panels, and other parts.
The car rolls on a set of blue wheels with full polished wheel covers and wide-whitewall tires.
The cabin features tan cloth front and rear bench seats, front and rear vent windows, manual main windows, an electric choke, and a push-button radio. The body-color trunk area features a tan patterned floor liner and contains a blue spare wheel wrapped in a wide-whitewall tire.
The gray dashboard houses a set of instruments that includes a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the amps, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The 5-digit odometer shows 29K miles, but true mileage is unknown.
Under the hood is a 218ci L-head I6 with four removable main bearings that produced 97 horsepower when new. It sends its output to the road through a 3-speed manual gearbox with a column-mounted shifter and the rear wheels.
Service manuals and a parts catalog are included with the sale of the vehicle. A video has been added below.
