This rust-free, recently restored 1965 Chevrolet Corvette roadster was built in Chevrolet's St. Louis factory and originally sold through Phelps and Overstreet Motors of Columbia, Kentucky. Power is supplied by a reportedly numbers-matching, 365-horsepower L76 327ci V8 backed by a numbers-matching 4-speed manual transmission. Features include tinted glass, knock-off turbine wheels, redline radial tires, side pipes, a convertible top, power steering, power brakes, and a positraction rear axle. This Rally Red C2 Corvette with a black top over a black vinyl interior is available now and comes from the selling dealer with an owner's manual; copies of its original sales invoice, window sticker, and shipping document; and a clear title.
The body is refinished in Rally Red and has chrome and stainless trim, emblems, and handles in place as well as factory side pipes. A split chrome bumper and roll-over quad headlights are in the front. At the rear, the split bumper is mounted below four round taillights and a deck-mounted antenna. A black convertible top with a plastic back window was added during the restoration process.
A set of 15-inch knock-off-style turbine wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown redline tires.
Black vinyl covers the bucket seats and door panels. The side glass is manually operated. Black carpet with black carpeted floor mats displaying the Corvette logo covers the floor and lines the top storage compartment. A factory clock is mounted above the climate controls and the working AM/FM vertical radio. Corvette Stingray script and a silver inset panel cover the glovebox door. A black center console with a silver inset panel, a chrome 4-speed manual shifter, and an ashtray are mounted between the front seats. The steering column is topped with a 3-spoke wood rim steering wheel. According to the seller, the car does not have air conditioning.
The black dashboard is home to a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature gauges. The 5-digit odometer reads 1,438 miles, which reflects the mileage accrued since the car was restored. True mileage is unknown.
The engine is a numbers-matching, 365-horsepower L76 327ci V8 backed by a numbers-matching 4-speed manual transmission, according to the selling dealer. A single 4-barrel carburetor, finned Chevrolet-branded valve covers, and a chrome air cleaner housing complete the engine. Coolant hoses with the GM logo and a dual-circuit power brake master cylinder can be seen under the hood.
The frame and suspension components have been refinished in matte black and the brake lines, fuel lines, and emergency brake cables are natural metal. The floorboards of the body show raw, unpainted fiberglass. Power is delivered to the road through a positraction rear axle with 3:55 gearing.
The selling dealer charges a documentation fee of $85. A safety inspection was recently completed. An owner's manual and copies of the car's original sales invoice, window sticker, and shipping document are included.

@Rdstr63 – Hi Seller. Beautiful car. Does everything work (gauges, lights, etc)? When was the restoration done? Was the power steering and brakes added during the restoration? Thanks ...
