Vehicle Story

This 1989 Cadillac Coupe deVille flagship two-door has been California-owned since new and is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transaxle. It has been garage-kept and maintained, receiving work to the braking system, fuel injection system, and suspension in the last several years. Finished in two-tone ivory and silver over an ivory leather interior, this sixth-generation Coupe deVille is now offered with a clean CARFAX report, service records, an owner’s manual, and a clear California title.

The deVille full-sized luxury car was first introduced for the 1959 model year and evolved over eight generations. For 1985, the sixth-generation model transitioned to the General Motors C-body platform and utilized front-wheel-drive chassis architecture. A refreshed front-end design applied in 1987 consisted of composite headlamps. In 1989, the entire wheelbase was stretched and the front and rear styling was once again updated. This 1989 Coupe deVille comes in two-tone ivory and silver with a body-color half-vinyl roof. The exterior features a gold-accented waterfall grille, color-matched side mirror caps, gold quarter-panel script badging, and signature vertical taillamps at both ends of the chrome rear bumper. The photo carousel shows some cracking on the right front fender.

Chrome-finished 15-inch wheels with Cadillac crests are wrapped in whitewall tires. The braking system was overhauled in July 2021, according to the CARFAX report. Work performed includes the replacement of the brake master cylinder, front calipers, hoses, and pads.

The interior is fitted with power-operated ivory leather front seating with Cadillac crests on the backrests and a fold-down center armrest, color-matched to the door panels, lower dash, and rear bench seat. The cabin features a Delco Symphony Sound AM/FM/cassette radio, automatic climate control, a fuel data center, seatback storage pockets, multiple ash trays, and power windows.

Instrumentation includes a digital speedometer and fuel gauge. The last mileage figure entered on the CARFAX report was 104,234 miles.

The 4.5-liter V8 has received consistent maintenance, per the CARFAX report. The starter, water pump, and coolant were replaced in 2017, the fuel injection system was cleaned and the spark plugs were replaced in 2014, and the rear struts and the oil pan gasket were replaced in the same year. Power is sent to the front wheels via a column-shifted 4-speed automatic transaxle.

The CARFAX report shows no accidents or damage on record. The vehicle passed a California emissions inspection in February of 2020. The sale includes service records and an owner’s manual. The seller has provided videos with additional details below.
