Vehicle Story

This 1952 MG TD convertible was built on October 10th, 1952, and was restored approximately six years ago. This vehicle has recently received a new rear oil seal, clutch, and various gaskets. It is powered by a 1250cc inline 4-cylinder and sends the engine's output through a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include a canvas convertible top, rear-mounted spare tire, and tonneau cover. This cream white 1952 MG with a tan top and green interior is available now and comes with receipts, an owner's handbook, a car cover, and a clear Florida title where it is listed as a 1953 MG TD in the seller's name.

The body is finished in cream white and has chrome and stainless trim, emblems, and handles. A chrome bumper with over-riders, auxiliary fog lights, and a chrome grille shell with a green insert can be found in the front. Rearview mirrors and turn signals are mounted on the front fenders. A chrome windshield frame with wind wings and windshield wipers is mounted to the cowl. A canvas tan convertible top covers the passenger compartment. A chrome bumper with over-riders, taillights, and a mounted spare tire can be seen in the rear. The seller has posted a couple of videos of the car below.

The Starfire Poly Sport tires are mounted on silver steel wheels with chrome MG dog dish hubcaps. All five tires and wheels match.

The bench seat with a split lower cushion is covered in green vinyl with matching green vinyl door panels. Black seat belts are mounted in both seating positions and black carpet with black MG logo floor mats covers the floorboard. The steering column is topped with a 3-spoke tan banjo-style MG steering wheel. A 4-speed manual gear shifter is located in front of the emergency brake handle that separates the lower seat cushions.

The dashboard is covered in green vinyl matching the seat upholstery. A 100-mph speedometer with a 5-digit odometer showing 2,346 miles and a 6K-rpm tachometer with a non-operational clock are located to the left of the tan center gauge pod, which contains water temperature, oil pressure, and amperage gauges.

The engine is a 1250cc inline 4-cylinder backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller states the engine and transmission are numbers-matching. Recent service includes a carburetor adjustment, a new rear oil seal, a new clutch, and the replacement of various gaskets. A polished valve cover, black oil-bath air cleaner, and silver side cover are present.

A majority of the underside, front and rear suspension, and floorboards are matte black.

Receipts from the previous owner, an owner's handbook, and a car cover are included with the sale of the car.

@Hdgolfer – I’m not only a collector I love me drive them. How is the driver’s compartment as far as room. As I’m 6-5 I need a little room. If need be I can drive up there if possible as I’m only in Jax ...

I'm 5'10". Steering wheel full forward and I'm comfortable. With the top up you may be close to hitting your head?
