1985 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL

This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL roadster was previously sold on Auto Hunter but is being relisted after the sale fell through, at no fault of the seller. It is powered by a 3.8-liter V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission. It features air conditioning, power steering, newer tires, and a stereo. Finished in yellow with a matching removable hardtop, it has a tan interior with leather bucket seats and a center console. The sale includes the original and replacement owner's manuals, service records and receipts, a clean Carfax report, and a clear title in the seller's name.

This hardtop roadster is finished in yellow with a removable matching hardtop. The front grille is highlighted by the Mercedes-Benz three-point star emblem and a pair of fog lights are mounted underneath the chrome and rubber front bumper. It rides on Bundt wheels with Mercedes-Benz center caps and newer tires.

The original tan interior has seating for two with bucket seats and matching door panels. The center console houses the automatic transmission shifter. A two-tone tan and black dashboard with wood trim features a stereo and controls for the air conditioning. The seller states that the air conditioning buttons need to be cleaned. In  addition, the radio antenna will not power raise and needs a new motor. The vacuum power door locks unlock, but do not lock. The seller recommends having them checked or replaced entirely.

The 160-mph speedometer contains a six-digit odometer showing 107K miles. According to the seller, the odometer stopped working around the first of the year and the car has accrued fewer than 100 miles since then. To the left of the speedometer are the fuel, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel economy gauges. A 7K-rpm tachometer and an analog clock are mounted to the right.

Under the hood is a 3.8-liter V8 engine that comes paired with a floor-shifted 4-speed automatic transmission. The seller states that an upgraded exhaust system was installed five years ago and the oil was changed one year ago.

The sale includes service records and receipts and original and replacement owner's manuals. A car cover will be included if the buyer is local.
