This 1976 GMC Sprint is a rust-free coupe utility powered by a 305ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. This second-generation Sprint has been upgraded with a dual exhaust system, Rallye wheels on BFGoodrich tires, and a Momo steering wheel. Finished in black over a matching vinyl and cloth interior, this Sprint is now offered with a clear California title in the seller’s name.
The Sprint two-door coupe utility went into production on the General Motors A-body platform beginning in the 1971 model year, sharing chassis architecture with the Chevrolet El Camino. The model’s second generation launched in 1973; in 1976 the front end received quad stacked rectangular headlights. This Sprint from that model year was repainted black under prior ownership. The body features brightwork, color-matched side mirror caps, and two pairs of polished exhaust tips. The cargo area is lined with a protective liner. According to the seller, the driver's door needs realignment.
Black-painted 15-inch wheels with polished center caps and trim rings are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
The two-seat interior is fitted with black vinyl and cloth seats matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Amenities include a center console, a carpeted dash mat, a wood Momo steering wheel, an analog clock, and a Delco push-button radio. The seller notes that the dashboard has some cracks underneath the mat.
Instrumentation data is communicated via a sweeping 100-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 43K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 305ci V8 was recently serviced with an oil change and received a smog test. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission.
Sir, I’m from New Hampshire where rust is a real serious problem, the car being in California has it always resided there? And if not, are there any rust repairs or rust through or rust problems at all anywhere on the body or The underside?Thank you in advance for your reply
Yes I have the door but it’s in not very good condition
@frampton22 – Tilt works Brakes are fine A/C blows but not cold No dents just a terrible picture Main problems with this vehicle are cosmetic. Carpet on passenger side needs to be completed Drivers door needs adjustment Rubber molding around drivers door Auto Hunter added more pics ...
Another ? Do you have the center console arm rest door?

Thanks for the reply!! Only concerns are the height of the rust areas in the engine compartment ( brake cylinder / air compressor area) and the interior (steering column area). Under the carpeting are the floor pans rusted? Car/truck looks great!! Will be a great project vehicle.
@Tytydog1 – As the newest "high bidder I would like further info on : Titl steering wheel cruise control car? Like photo of rockers and rear end underneath and behind the seats.
