Vehicle Story

This 51K-mile 1990 Toyota Celica GT-S was recently equipped with a variety of new parts, including belts, hoses, fluids, brake pads and rotors, rear KYB struts, and tires. Features include 15-inch alloy wheels, 4-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, cruise control, power windows, power locks, and a 2.2-liter inline 4-cylinder engine backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission. This black T180-series Celica with a gray cloth interior is available now and comes with a clean Carfax report and a clear title.

The body of this Celica GT-S still wears its factory-applied black paint and features color-keyed bumpers, door handles, mirror caps, and rear spoiler. The seller states the front hood is scratched, the front bumper has chips in it, and the body has scratches and minor door dings typical for a car of its age, all of which can be seen in the photo gallery to the right. The headlights are pop-up style and the electric antenna works as it should. Pinstripes run the length of the car's sides. All Toyota and GT-S emblems are in place. The rear window has a defroster element and a wiper with a washer nozzle.

A set of 15-inch Toyota alloy wheels are wrapped in new Accelera 205/55/R15 tires.

The interior is furnished with gray cloth bucket seats and a matching fold-down rear seat. Gray carpeting and floor mats cover the floor. A matching gray headliner is installed. The gray door panels have cloth inserts and house the controls for the power windows and door locks. The gray dashboard features a factory radio with a cassette player, climate controls, and air vents. The tilt steering column is topped with a leather-wrapped 4-spoke gray steering wheel. The rear cargo compartment retains its original cover and gray carpeted mat.

Instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer mounted between an 8K-rpm tachometer and a cluster containing the voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature gauges. The 6-digit odometer reads 50K miles, which is in line with the last mileage entry of 48,657 miles on the Carfax report.

The engine is a 16-valve 2.2-liter inline 4-cylinder backed by a 4-speed automatic. The engine and transmission are transversely mounted and send power to the front wheels. Recently replaced parts include the battery, belts, hoses, fluids, and fuel filter. According to the seller, the air conditioning is short cycling.

According to the seller, the original owner purchased this Celica GT-S in May of 1990 for $16,268. The second owner acquired it in May of 1999, drove it sparingly, then kept it in a garage starting in 2007. The current owner had the car inspected by a Toyota mechanic upon purchase in 2021. In addition, they had the original fuel tank removed, cleaned, and reinstalled and new brake pads and rotors, KYB rear struts, and strut mounts put on. Two recall services, including one for the front struts, have been performed.

Yes, I guess can be picked up locally. Payment should be made as soon as The Buyer and I figure out the arrangements. I have to check with the Admin for this site for what the Contract says for the Buyer? If my Property sells as quick as I think here I will be moving. Car will not be released nor the Title without payment as it says in the terms for this Auction. Thanks for the Questions and for the Bids.
