Vehicle Story

This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 SportsRoof is a G-code sports coupe powered by a 302ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a 3.50 rear axle. This Mustang was assembled in February of its model year and originally allocated to Scoville Ford of Vestal, New York. The car comes equipped with a Hurst shifter, Magnum 500-style wheels, a Sun tachometer, and an AM radio. Recent maintenance includes a carburetor tune-up. Refinished in New Lime with black stripes over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with a Marti report, a spare, a jack, trunk filler panels, and a clear title.

Following its initial debut for the 1965 model year, the Mustang went on to receive a restyle in 1969 that brought larger overall dimensions and revised front-end styling. This Mustang Boss 302 from the following year was originally finished in Medium Lime and subsequently repainted in New Lime with contrasting black striping. The selling dealer notes that some touch-ups have been performed as shown in the photo carousel. Features include Boss 302 striping, brightwork, flat-black rear window louvers, and a rear spoiler.

Fifteen-inch Magnum 500-style chrome-finished wheels are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires.

The interior is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats matched to the door panels, dash, carpeting, and floor mats. The seats and dash are noted to be in good condition. Amenities include a push-button AM radio, tinted glass, a Hurst shifter, and a trunk-mounted fire extinguisher. The seller notes that the vehicle's transmission needs to be in reverse before the key can be removed from the ignition.

Instrumentation is comprised of a 120-mph speedometer, an aftermarket column-mounted Sun 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 97K miles, but true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The 302ci Boss V8 reportedly runs well and recently received a carburetor tune-up and a replacement accelerator pump, according to the selling dealer. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed close-ratio manual transmission and a 3.50 rear axle.

Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.

A $150 dealer fee will be added to the purchase price. The sale includes a Marti report, a spare, a jack, and trunk filler panels.

I’ve noticed that there’s always some asshole making negative comments and they’re not even bidding on this site. Keep your mouth shut if you got nothing nice to say and you’re not getting a cheap son of a B
