This 2004 Mercedes-Benz SLK32 AMG Kompressor two-door convertible has been California-owned and driven 19,213 miles since new. From the factory, it was equipped with the Comfort and Lighting Packages. Under the hood, the dealer-maintained supercharged 3.2-liter V6 is coupled with an AMG-enhanced 5-speed automatic transmission. This SLK went to its first owner in August of 2003 and has resided in California since new. Finished in Brilliant Silver with a matching power-operated retractable “vario-roof” hardtop over a two-tone Charcoal and Alpaca Grey leather interior, this first-generation SLK is now offered with its window sticker, service records, factory literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
The R170 SLK-Class launched in 1996 as a two-door roadster with drivetrain and chassis components from the W202 C-Class platform. A facelift in 2000 changed the exterior trim, drivetrain options, and technology offerings. This 2004 SLK from the final year of the first generation is finished in Brilliant Silver and outfitted with a power-operated body-color retractable hardtop. The exterior is equipped with fog lamps, V6 Kompressor badging, color-matched side mirror caps with integrated turn signals, roll hoops, and chrome exhaust outlets. The Lighting Package adds xenon headlamps with dedicated washers. AMG components include the front air dam with black mesh air intakes, side skirts, rear apron, and trunk lid spoiler. The seller notes that a 1-inch scratch on the hood has been professionally touched up and that the hydraulic lift struts for the trunk have been replaced. Videos of the top being raised and lowered are below.
Aluminum 17-inch AMG-branded split five-spoke wheels are wrapped in low-profile tires. Braking comes from four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Steering is power-assisted.
The interior is furnished with heated and power-adjustable Charcoal and Alpaca Grey leather seats and color-coordinated door panels and dashboard. The cabin is accented with Charcoal wood trim. Amenities include a telescoping steering column, dual-zone automatic climate control, power windows and locks, cruise control, and a 6-speaker Bose sound system with a trunk-mounted 6-disc CD changer.
AMG-specific white-faced instrumentation includes a 180-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 19,213 miles, which is in line with the last mileage figure on the Carfax report.
The M112 3.2-liter V6 features a helical twin-screw supercharger and a water-to-air intercooler. When new, it had factory ratings of 349 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console-shifted AMG-enhanced 5-speed automatic transmission with AMG SpeedShift programming that enables up to 35 percent faster gear changes. Service history is illustrated in nearly 20 records on the Carfax report. An oil change was carried out in February of 2021. The most recent service was performed at Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin in March of 2021. The vehicle last passed a California emissions inspection in July of 2020. Two of the videos below show the engine being started up.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage on record. The sale includes the car's window sticker, service records, and factory literature.

@Gransport – i will need an answer to my question below, please. Also, just a reminder, as per California DMV "law", the seller must present a "passed" smog test that is less than 90 days old to a California buyer. So if sold to me, or to anyone in California, the car will need to be smog tested before the transaction can be completed. thx ...
We have the previous smog, but it's been a while so noted.
@Gransport – Thank you. This car will definitely need tires replaced before it would be ready for me to all day drive it down on the 5 freeway at a continuous 80 mph. 18 years is just way too old to be safe. But is there anything else one should know before before undertaking such a drive? Any needs? Is the car fully ready for such a long road trip to the So Cal Desert? ...
Everything else is good. It has a brand new battery and we've have a trickle charger attached to keep the battery. So yes it's ready to go.

@Gransport – How good is the A/C in this car? Being in the desert here, that really matters. Of course, it also gets pretty hot sometime up where you are... thx. ...
It’s excellent. We get up to 20 days over 100 in Sacramento and it works great.

There are two key fobs and a stand alone key. The tires are original to the best of our knowledge. The car has always been garaged. I will add pictures of the tire tread a little later today.
BID: $14,949
Greetings, How many key FOBs come with the car? What year where the tires manufactured? Thank you in advance for your reply. Albert
