This 1963 Buick LeSabre four-door sedan features amenities such as power brakes, power steering, a tilt steering column, an AM radio, new whitewall radial tires, and a dual exhaust system. Power comes from 401ci Nailhead V8 paired with a 2-speed Turbine Drive automatic transmission. Finished in Bronze Mist over a Sandalwood cloth and vinyl interior, this second-generation LeSabre is now offered by the selling dealer with uninstalled spare parts and a clear title.
The full-sized LeSabre went into production for the 1959 model year on the General Motors B-body platform as a mid-range sedan between the Special and Electra.and was offered in two-door, four-door, and station wagon body styles. A restyle followed in 1961 which eliminated the tailfins and reduced the car’s overall length and width. In 1963, the exterior styling became boxier as shown in this 1963 example that was repainted in its correct Bronze Mist (SS). The body features quad headlights, triple VentiPorts, bright bodyside moldings, chrome door-edge guards, and a dual exhaust system with polished outlets.
Multi-spoke chrome wheels are set inside of newly replaced whitewall radial tires. Handling is assisted by power steering and power brakes.
The six-passenger interior is fitted with Sandalwood cloth and vinyl bench seats and brown accents for the door panels and carpeting. Amenities include black lap belts, a tilt-adjustable steering column, a remote driver-side mirror, and a push-button Sonomatic AM radio. Patina is visible on the armrests, driver-side kick panel, and dashboard.
Instrumentation housed in the aluminum-accented instrument panel includes a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for various vehicle systems. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads 13K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 401ci Nailhead V8 sends its power to the rear wheels via a column-shifted 2-speed Turbine Drive automatic transmission.
Additional pictures showing the underside are available in the photo carousel.
The sale includes boxes of uninstalled spare parts, including wheel covers.
