This as-new 2021 Audi R8 Spyder RWD performance convertible has driven just 375 total miles and carried an original MSRP of $167,495 that included the Premium Package, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, illuminated door sills, and 20-inch anthracite-finished aluminum wheels. This garage-kept supercar harnesses power from a mid-mounted 5.2-liter FSI V10 paired with a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transaxle and features a dual exhaust system, a power-operated retractable top, and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit customizable gauge cluster. Finished in Vegas Yellow with a black roof over a black Nappa leather interior, this second-generation R8 Spyder is now offered with an owner's manual, a tool kit with a tire inflator, documentation, a clean Carfax report, a window sticker, and a clear Michigan title in the seller’s name.
First launching in 2006, the R8 was a mass-market flagship supercar offered as a two-door sports coupe, with a Spyder convertible variant following in 2010. An entirely new generation rolled out in 2015 based on the Modular Sports System platform shared with the Lamborghini Huracan. A mild refresh took place in 2018 that incorporated more angular design language. This Vegas Yellow 2021 R8 convertible was produced in Heilbronn, Germany and comes with a power-operated retractable black roof. The aluminum body features LED headlamps with daytime running lamps, Mythos Black sideblades, and chrome dual exhaust outlets.
Anthracite-finished aluminum 20-inch wheels are wrapped in staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires sized 245/30 in the front and 305/30 in the rear.
The two-seat interior is fitted with 18-way power-adjustable black Nappa leather bucket seats. This R8 is configured with the optional $6,000 Premium Package, which includes a Bang & Olufsen sound system, extended leather, and illuminated door sills. In addition, the cockpit has a carbon package valued at $3,400. Additional technology includes an advanced key, a navigation system, automatic climate control, and power convenience options.
Instrumentation consists of a 12.3-inch LCD screen with a customizable display that can show Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, a 10K-rpm tachometer, and more. According to the seller, the odometer reads 375 miles.
The mid-mounted naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter FSI V10 was rated at 562 horsepower. Output is fed to the rear wheels via a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transaxle.
The R8 chassis uses an aluminum monocoque that was engineered using space frame technology. Stopping power comes from four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with multi-piston calipers. Driving is assisted by multi-mode Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Carfax report shows a vehicle history free of accidents and damage. The first and only owner took delivery in South Carolina in April 2021. The sale includes a window sticker showing the original total price of $167,495, an owner's manual, a tool kit with a tire inflator, documentation, and more.
