Vehicle Story

This 1974 Triumph TR6 was put through a complete restoration which involved the body being stripped to bare metal and repainted with Sikkens paint, a new interior being put in, and the installation of a new top. Features include a 2.5-liter inline-6 engine with rebuilt Stromberg carburetors, a 4-speed manual transmission, U.S.-spec bumpers, Cibie headlights, power front disc brakes, a rear luggage rack, and Coker redline tires. This Maple Brown roadster with a black convertible top and Peanut Butter interior is available now and comes with a cockpit tonneau cover and a clear Pennsylvania title from the selling dealer.

According to the selling dealer, this car underwent a complete bare metal restoration and was refinished in the factory-correct Maple Brown Sikkens paint. Chrome and stainless trim, emblems, handles, and bumpers are in place. Features include Cibie headlights, U.S.-spec bumpers, dual side mirrors, and a trunk-mounted luggage rack. A new black vinyl convertible top with plastic rear windows and tonneau cockpit cover has been added.

Silver steel 15-hole wheels with trim rings and 4-lug center caps are wrapped in Coker redline radial tires.

According to the selling dealer, the new front bucket seats, upholstered in Peanut Butter vinyl, sit on new seat tracks. The vinyl upholstery continues to the shifter boot, new door panels, rear cargo compartment, and convertible top boot. New brown carpeting covers the cabin floor. The climate controls can be found in the center of the dashboard above the AM radio. The steering column is topped with a 3-spoke steering wheel with a wood rim. The 4-speed manual transmission shifter is topped with a wooden Triumph TR6 knob.

The dashboard features a woodgrain insert and houses a 140-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage gauges. Mileage is noted as 56,665, and the selling dealer reports this is supported by the Pennsylvania title.

The engine is a 2.5-liter inline 6 cylinder equipped with rebuilt dual Stromberg carburetors, transistorized ignition, an electric fuel pump, and a 4-speed manual transmission. A dual-circuit power brake master cylinder and windshield washer fluid bottle can be seen under the hood. Videos of the engine running and idling can be seen below.

The front and rear independent suspension assemblies wear black paint. Dual exhaust pipes are routed to a single muffler and exit at the left rear.

A cockpit tonneau cover is included with the sale of the vehicle.
