Vehicle Story

This 1956 Ford F-100 is an award-winning, restored pickup that has fewer than 3,000 miles on its upgraded 302ci V8, which is paired with a C4 3-speed automatic transmission. This second-generation F-Series received custom design elements including a custom roll pan and bumpers, Frenched taillights, a dual exhaust system, and a set of newer wide-whitewall tires. Finished in light blue over a white leather interior, this F100 is now offered with a body-color storage box, a Grand National Roadster Show trophy, and a clear title in the seller’s name.

In 1956, the Ford F-Series moved into its second generation and received a redesign with vertical windshield pillars and a wraparound windshield. This F100 from that model year was treated to a restoration and refinished in light blue. The resulting body is said to have straight panels and even gaps. Custom treatment was applied to the bumpers, color-matched running boards, Frenched blue dot taillights and antenna, modified roll pan, and dual exhaust system. The cargo area is outfitted with replacement oak flooring and chrome strips and holds a body-color storage box.

Body-color steel 15-inch wheels with smooth chrome center caps are wrapped in 225/70 wide-whitewall tires. Handling is assisted by a power rack and pinion steering system. Front discs and rear drums provide braking power.

The interior is fitted with a power-operated white leather bench with light blue piping, white and body-color door panels, a body-color dashboard, and a white headliner with matching sun visors and light blue accents. Blue carpeting covers the floor. Amenities include a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, a push-button radio, and a window-mounted car cooler.

Instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer and auxiliary readouts for the fuel level, voltage, and oil pressure. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads 30K miles, but true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The upgraded 302ci V8 features performance headers. Power is sent to the back wheels via a column-shifted C4 3-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch rear end.

The sale includes a body-color storage box and a Grand National Roadster Show trophy.
