This 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible received a restoration completed in 2018 under current ownership and is powered by a refurbished 455ci V8 paired with a rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 20-inch American Racing wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a center console with woodgrain trim, and a modern Pioneer stereo. Finished in black with a newer black power-operated top over a black vinyl interior, this third-generation Cutlass is now offered with service records and a bonded Texas title.
Following the design language of other vehicles on the General Motors A-body platform, the mid-sized Cutlass was reworked in 1968 with changes to the body lines and equipment. The grille and taillights were again revised in 1972 when the Cutlass was offered in coupe, sedan, convertible, and station wagon variants. This Cutlass convertible from 1972 was put through a one-year refurbishment that concluded in 2018. Over the course of that restoration, a black respray was applied over the original orange and the car received a new black power-retractable soft top. The process also included the replacement of various body components including the fender wells, passenger-side rocker panels, windshield, latches, and seals. Equipment includes a front spoiler, fog lamps, chrome trim, 442 badging, LED taillights, and a dual exhaust system. The seller has provided a video of the convertible top being lowered in the carousel to the right.
Aluminum 20-inch American Racing wheels with polished lips are wrapped in Accelera tires. Stopping power comes from four-wheel discs with Wilwood calipers at the front. The front and rear brakes, booster, master cylinder, and brake lines were replaced during the refurbishment.
The cabin is fitted with reupholstered black vinyl seating for the front buckets and rear bench, matched to the lap belts, door panels, dash, and carpeting. Surfaces are accented with simulated wood trim. Features include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, and a Pioneer audio system. The headrests and floor mats are embroidered with 442 logos. The air conditioning system has been converted to R134a refrigerant and uses a Vintage Air condenser and replacement ductwork.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads 68K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 455ci V8 has been upgraded with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock valve covers. Service performed as part of the refurbishment included replacement of the headers, battery, alternator, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor as well as the installation of a Be Cool electric fan and radiator. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a rebuilt 3-speed automatic with a replacement transmission pan.
Several photos showing the underside of the car are available in the carousel.
The sale includes service records.

@Johnhaller1 – How long after purchase does the car need to be removed from your property. Do you have a “buy it now” price? ...

@htimsr – Title was lost by previous owner and when you go to register it you have to purchase a bond. In my case the title had the wrong Vin and I had to do the paperwork again. ...

@Active – Is the top and windows water tight? Is there a boot that fits? ...
The top is as water tight as a 50 year old car can be. It has been driven several times in the rain without water in the interior. There is no boot with the car. One can be added easily.

Can I get an answer about the top and boot?
