This unmodified 1998 Lotus Esprit two-door sports coupe has been driven 13,662 miles since new and is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle. It was initially sold in California and spent time in Florida and Ohio before being relocated to Illinois in 2021, where it resides today. The Esprit two-door sports coupe was produced in England beginning in 1976 with a wedge-shaped fiberglass body over a steel backbone chassis. By 1994, the Esprit had gone through a series of refreshes and transitioned into its Series 4 form consisting of revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a rear spoiler. This black Esprit from 1998 has a finish consistent with the low odometer reading, including straight, glossy panels. The exterior features lamps, pop-up headlamps, side skirts, a rear pedestal wing, and a chrome-tipped dual exhaust system.

Power is directed to the rear wheels via a Renault-produced 5-speed manual transaxle.
