This unmodified 1998 Lotus Esprit two-door sports coupe has been driven 13,662 miles since new and is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle. It was initially sold in California and spent time in Florida and Ohio before being relocated to Illinois in 2021, where it resides today. The drivetrain has received extensive service throughout its lifetime including recent work to the clutch, water pump, thermostat, valve cover gaskets, and more. Features include fog lamps, disc brakes, staggered aluminum wheels, and a dual exhaust system. Finished in black over a tan leather interior, this Series 4 Esprit is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX report, service records, and a clear title.
The Esprit two-door sports coupe was produced in England beginning in 1976 with a wedge-shaped fiberglass body over a steel backbone chassis. By 1994, the Esprit had gone through a series of refreshes and transitioned into its Series 4 form consisting of revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a rear spoiler. This black Esprit from 1998 has a finish consistent with the low odometer reading, including straight, glossy panels. The exterior features lamps, pop-up headlamps, side skirts, a rear pedestal wing, and a chrome-tipped dual exhaust system.
Staggered 6-spoke aluminum wheels measuring 17 inches in diameter in the front and 18 inches in the rear are wrapped in Continental tires with good tread remaining. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The two-seat interior is home to tan leather seats with black accent piping. The same color scheme is used throughout the rest of the cockpit including the black center console, tan embroidered floor mats, and two-tone door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, and an Alpine stereo system.
Instrumentation includes a 220-mph VDO speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 13,662 miles which is supported by the CARFAX report.
Positioned behind the cockpit, the all-aluminum Type 918 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 uses two Garrett T25/60 turbochargers and was rated at 349 horsepower when new. The powertrain reportedly received recent maintenance including work to the clutch, water pump, thermostat, valve cover gaskets, rear main seal, axle seals, and more according to the selling dealer. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a Renault-produced 5-speed manual transaxle.
The CARFAX report lists no accidents or damage, although the vehicle failed a California emissions inspection in January of 2021. A dealer fee of $351, which covers documentation and temporary tag charges, will be added to the purchase price. Service records will be included with the sale of the vehicle. The selling dealer has included a video of the car's exterior and interior below.

Is this a "don't comment" type of forum? Feels weird w/o any back and forth between seller and potential buyers...and between potential buyers.
