This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 two-door hardtop is powered by an Edelbrock-upgraded 455ci V8 paired with a console-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission and features aluminum racing wheels, aftermarket auxiliary gauges, a Hurst shifter, a new gas tank, and a modern audio system. Finished in Black Pearl over a white vinyl interior, this second-generation 442 is now offered with records and a clear Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The 442 muscle car originated as a performance-oriented counterpart to the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, and similar models and rode on the General Motors A-body platform. A second generation debuted in 1968 with restyled lines in sport coupe, hardtop, convertible, and station wagon variants. This 442 two-door hardtop from the following year has a rust-free body that was repainted in Black Pearl under previous ownership and features brightwork for the bumpers, window trim, handles, and badging.
Aluminum 15-inch racing wheels are mounted inside of tires with black sidewalls.
The reportedly original interior features white vinyl bucket seats, door panels, and a matching center console, all of which contrast with the black dashboard, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include woodgrain trim, a Hurst shifter, tinted windows, a battery cut-off switch, and a modern stereo with rear deck-mounted speakers.
Instrumentation includes a non-operational speedometer, a fuel gauge, and an under-dash pod with readouts for other vehicle systems. A 5-digit odometer is included, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 455ci V8 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock carburetor and comes connected to a replacement fuel tank. There are notations for vehicle services affixed to labels inside the glove compartment. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission. The seller has posted a video of the car starting up and idling below.
According to the seller, the suspension has been upgraded for drag racing.

@thehulls – Both?!!? She’s fast but she’s street ready. No roll-bars or anything. Great car for a road trip! ...
Is it capable to drive this car on the highway regular speed for 200 or more mile with out the rear end or running hot problems
Sounds like it's been taken real good care of. Seemed like a lot of miles in the tabular for 1/4 mile at a time. That's an awful lot of timed runs.

Is this a track car or a everyday ride where you want to car ?
@Steve6979 – Looks pretty good for having 1,000,000 miles on it. Good it has a disclaimer on the true mileage. ...
True, the odometer is broken. The engine and transmission have roughly 36,000 miles on them to the best of our knowledge. Since 1992, the car has only been used on 1/4 miles tracks and it was trailered to the track.
