Vehicle Story

This 1947 Ford Super Deluxe 2-door convertible street rod is powered by a 350ci V8 backed by a 200-4R automatic transmission. Features include a 600-cfm Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock manifold, power steering, power front disc brakes, American Racing Wheels, a newer Vintage Air AC/heater combo, power windows, and a Pioneer stereo/CD player. This Spruce Green Ford with a black convertible top and Spruce Green leather interior is available now and comes with a clear New Mexico title from the seller.

The body has been refinished in Spruce Green with subtle pinstriping and the midbody fender trim, as well as the running board trim and rear rubber rock guards, have been shaved. The front bumper has been color matched and the mounting bolts, front license plate attaching holes, and bumper guards have been removed  The grille bars have been shaved, filled, and color-matched to the body. The hood ornament and emblem have been shaved as well. The rear bumper has been color-matched, shaved, tucked, and mounted below the new trunk handle and taillights. According to the seller, the rear bumper has some paint chips. The trunk and taillight trim have been shaved. The driver- and passenger-side mirrors have been moved to the top of the doors. The outer front windshield trim and the center bar divider have been painted black. Aftermarket windshield wipers have been added to the cowl and the cowl vent has been shaved. The black canvas power convertible top works as it should according to the seller.

A set of polished aluminum 5-spoke American Racing wheels are wrapped in low-profile tires.

The front bucket seats as well as the matching full-width rear seat are upholstered in Spruce Green leather. Black aftermarket seatbelts can be found at all seating positions. Spruce Green continues onto the front door panels with armrests, repaired electric power window controls, chrome exit handles, and dashboard extension pieces, with the latter adorned with pinstriping matching that on the exterior. Spruce Green carpet covers the cabin floor and rubber floor mats are located in the front footwells. The modified dashboard houses the controls for the headlights, windshield wipers, convertible top, aftermarket Pioneer stereo/CD player, new-in-December-2021 Vintage Air climate system, and vents. The tilt steering column is topped with a 4-spoke polished aluminum steering wheel with a black leather grip and a horn button with a Ford logo.

The white-faced analog VDO gauge set contains a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. According to the seller, there are 4,180 miles on the odometer, but true mileage is unknown. The seller has added approximately 470 miles since acquiring the vehicle two years ago.

The engine is a 350ci V8 backed by a 200-4R automatic transmission. Chrome stamped steel valve covers, aluminum spark plug wire separators, new chrome Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley 600-cfm carburetor, an open-element air cleaner, and a chrome air conditioning compressor complete the engine. An aftermarket aluminum radiator, aluminum coolant overflow container, and aluminum battery box can be seen under the hood. The seller reports that a new starter and battery have been installed. According to the seller, this convertible is equipped with an 8-inch Ford rear axle, a newer fuel tank, and power front disc brakes and rear drums.

@Wolfeman – on a scale of 1 to 10 what kind of condition is the paint in. Are there any significant rock chips scratches or any other kind of damaged to the paint. Is the car confirtable to drive or or you tired and stiff after driving it 100 miles Please reply to these questions ASAP so I can make a bid. Thank you for your time Wolfeman ...

Car has minor rock chips on bottom of front bumper, bottom of rear left fender, & bottom of right front fender. She is about an 8. I am the sole driver of the car because my husband is legally blind & she is pretty comfortable to me, however, we've had her approx 2 years & only driven her 400 miles all in town driving.
