Vehicle Story

This 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible is one of 1,800 built and is powered by a 365ci V8 engine with dual 4-barrel carburetors backed by a 4-speed Hydra-Matic transmission. Features include Autronic Eye, power steering, a power front seat, power windows, polished aluminum Sabre wheels, and power brakes. This Olympic White Cadillac with a black convertible top and a black leather interior is available now and comes with an owner's manual, receipts, restoration documentation, an uninstalled power brake assembly, and a clear title from the selling dealer.

The exterior has been refinished in Olympic White and features chrome and stainless trim, emblems, and door handles. The chrome front bumper with rubber-tipped Dagmars surrounds the egg-crate grille and is mounted below the dual headlamps with chrome rings. A Cadillac crest and gold V-bar are located at the leading edge of the hood. At the rear, the wheel well trim extends into the Biarritz-specific rear bumper styling. Chrome-edged tail fins and dual taillights are present. A power black convertible top has been installed.

The polished aluminum 15-inch Sabre wheels are wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

The full-width power bench seat with a flip-down armrest is upholstered in black leather along with the matching rear seat. The black trim carries on to the rear interior panels and front doors. The front doors have chrome exit handles, vent window cranks, power window switches, and silver accent trim. The metal dashboard is refinished in silver with a black vinyl top pad and houses the controls for the headlights, windshield wipers, climate system, convertible top switch, clock, AM radio, and cigarette lighter. An aftermarket CD changer control box with remote is mounted underneath the dashboard and a remote speaker is located in the glove box. An Autronic Eye automatic high beams unit is mounted on the left side of the dash pad. A metal locking glove box can be found on the right side of the dashboard. The steering column is topped with a black and white 2-spoke Cadillac steering wheel with a full horn ring. Black carpet covers the cabin floor along with black carpeted floor mats with the Cadillac logo. The trunk area is fully carpeted in gray with a spare Sabre wheel that is wrapped with a whitewall radial tire. The bumper jack, as well as an aftermarket CD changer, can be seen.

A 120-mph sweep-style speedometer and gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level along with warning lights for the oil pressure and generator voltage are mounted behind the steering wheel in a chrome bezel. The 5-place odometer reads 59,424 miles, but true mileage is unknown.

The engine is a 365ci V8 with dual 4-barrel carburetors was factory rated at 325 horsepower when new and comes paired with a 4-speed Hydra-Matic transmission. The gold dual-quad air cleaner, gold stamped steel valve covers, power steering pump, and oil filter housing complete the engine. Electric windshield wipers, a power brake assembly, a windshield washer reservoir, and a battery can be seen under the hood.

A variety of undercarriage photos are available in the gallery to the right.

An owner’s manual, a binder of receipts, photos of the car's restoration, and an uninstalled power brake assembly will be included with the sale.
