Vehicle Story

This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 panel truck was restored 10 years ago and is powered by a 235ci Thriftmaster inline-6 and backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. All trim pieces were re-chromed during the restoration. Features include bucket seats, a Deluxe heater, a factory wood cargo area with built-in display drawers, whitewall tires, and fog lights. This black 1953 Chevrolet 3100 panel truck with painted faux woodgrain panels and a brown vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear Arizona title from the selling dealer.

The top, hood, cowl, and fenders have been refinished in gloss black. Faux woodgrain is painted on the sides and rear of the body. The re-chromed front bumper is mounted below the re-chromed 5-bar grille, dual headlamps, and hood-mounted Chevrolet emblem. Dual amber lamps can be seen mounted to the front gravel pan. The re-chromed rear bumper is located below the dual rear cargo doors. A single rear taillight and license plate bracket are positioned on the rear driver-side door. Amber lamps are mounted to the rear gravel pan. Painted lettering adorns the right and left rear roof area.

The steel wheels have been refinished in maroon with tan accent stripes and wear dog dish caps, trim rings, and bias-ply whitewall tires.

The front bucket seats have been reupholstered in brown vinyl. Chrome manual window cranks and exit handles as well as a brown armrest are mounted to the brown accent panels on the gloss black door shells. A brown fiberboard headliner and a single brown driver’s visor have been installed above. A black rubber floor mat covers the front cabin floor. Full wood paneling and built-in display cabinets with vinyl flooring can be seen in the rear. The interior of the rear doors has been refinished in matte brown with upholstery inserts matching the front seat material. The steel dashboardhave  houses the controls for the choke, headlights, throttle, ignition, and windshield wipers. Chrome trim leading to a metal glove box can also be seen. A Deluxe heater is mounted under the dash. The steering column has been refinished in tan and is topped with a black 3-spoke steering wheel. A manual transmission shifter is mounted on the floor between the seats.

An 80-mph speedometer with an odometer showing 24,298 miles and a combination gauge that includes the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are mounted in the dashboard behind the steering wheel.

The engine is a 235ci Thriftmaster inline-6 and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. An open-element air cleaner, chrome valve cover, generator, remote oil filter, and split-manifold exhaust headers complete the engine. The radiator is cooled by a mechanical fan.

The front I-beam and leaf spring front suspension, rear drive axle with leaf springs, frame, and underbody have been refinished in matte black. The polished stainless dual exhaust with chrome tips exits below the rear bumper.
