16k-Mile Original-Owner 2000 BMW M Roadster 5-Speed

This 2000 BMW Z3 M roadster is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over black leather interior. Power is provided by a 3.2L 6-cylinder engine paired to a ZF 5-speed manual transmission. Showing just over 16K miles from new, the M roadster was purchased new by the seller and serviced through the original selling dealership for the first 10 years of ownership. Produced from 1997 to 2002, this Z3 M roadster is one of 15K made worldwide and one of 2,200 with the S52 engine. Now offered for sale, the Z3 M comes with maintenance records, factory literature, a clean CARFAX report, and a clean Nevada title in the sellers’ name.

Finished in Cosmos Black Metallic, the paint is original with no prior body or paintwork and was always stored indoors throughout its life. The black soft top is power operated with a plastic rear window and functions with no issues. Compared to the base level Z3, M roadsters received revised front and rear bumpers, sport mirrors, and different style side vents.

17” 5-spoke M-wheels are equipped on all four corners, wrapped in BFGoodrich tires measuring 225/40 on the front and 245/40 on the rear, all installed approximately 10K miles ago. Minor curb rash is shown on the rear wheels, as seen in the gallery. Braking is handled by four-wheel vented disc brakes that are the same used on the E36 M3, measuring 12.4" in on the front and 12.3" on the rear.

The interior is equipped with black leather sport seats along with matching door panels, carpet, center console, and dash. Features include a 6-disc CD player with changer in the trunk, heated seats, manual climate control, power convertible top and power windows.

Behind the black leather-wrapped factory steering wheel sits the gauge cluster which includes an 8k rpm tachometer and 160mph speedometer. Gauges for fuel level and water temperature are located on the outside of the cluster, while additional gauges are located in the center console, providing readouts for voltage and oil temperature, as well as an analog clock. The digital odometer shows 16K miles, all of which have been added by the seller.

Under the hood sits the S52 6-cylinder engine which was factory rated for 240 horsepower and 240 ft/lb of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF 5-speed manual transmission. Recent service work includes a new battery.

An October 2020 CARFAX shows the vehicle was registered in both California and Nevada during the owner’s tenure and shows no reports of accidents or damage. Included in the sale are various service records, the original books, and manuals as well as 2nd key and new owner audio CD.
