This 1991 Chrysler TC by Maserati convertible has been in California and driven 21,625 miles since new and comes with a black cloth retractable soft top as well as a color-matched removable hardtop. It derives power from a 3.0-liter V6 paired with an A604 4-speed automatic transmission. Features include power accessories, an AM/FM radio, power-adjustable front seats, woodgrain trim, and new Sentury tires. Finished in Exotic Red Clearcoat over a black leather interior, this final-year TC is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
Developed jointly between Chrysler and Maserati, the TC grand-touring convertible was produced between the 1989 and 1991 model years with final assembly performed in Milan, Italy. The car’s Q-body platform shared basic engineering with the K-platform and showcased bodywork that was produced by Innocenti. This TC from the final production year is painted Exotic Red Clearcoat and comes with a matching removable hardtop as well as a black cloth retractable soft top. The body features chrome beltline and wheel arch moldings, color-matched side mirror caps, and a trunk-mounted third brake lamp.
Factory 15-inch cast aluminum basketweave wheels are wrapped in new Sentury tires. Power-assisted rack and pinion steering and four-wheel anti-lock disc braking came standard on this model. The suspension uses front and rear sway bars.
The interior is fitted with black leather bucket seats matched to the door panels, dash, center armrest, and carpeting. The cabin features woodgrain trim and amenities such as power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, heated side mirrors, power windows, power locks, a tilt steering column, and an AM/FM/cassette radio with 10 Infinity speakers throughout the cabin. A tool kit will come with the vehicle.
Instrumentation includes a 125-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The 6-digit mechanical odometer reads 21,625 miles, which is in line with the last mileage figure shown on the CARFAX report.
The Mitsubishi-sourced 3.0-liter V6 was rated at 141 horsepower when new. Power is sent to the front wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed A604 automatic transaxle.
Photos showing the underbody are available in the gallery to the right.
The CARFAX report goes back to 1993 and shows no accidents or damage on record. The vehicle passed a California emissions inspection in December of 2020.

Bidding is about to end. Have you had any luck getting the hardtop off? Could you post a video of the car starting up and running?
@DrMarkD – I’ll let you know as soon as I can. The mechanic/ repair people that I’ve spoken with claim that it isn’t a costly repair. But I can’t find anyone who has the time at this moment to make the repair at this moment. I’ll keep on it. The car it truly a time capsule in how good it looks and how well it works for a 31year old car. It’ll come with the original window sticker, charming repair kit, ABS repair kit/tool, two sets of keys, original shop manual and extra servicing replacement parts. If it sells for over 10k I’ll include a pristine original and beautiful, sales brochure ...
I forgot it also comes with the unused, original Italian made custom umbrella that is stored in a special place in the hatch behind the driver’s seat.
@pineway – I use to own one of these years ago and my top had the same issues. It was not a cheap fix! Please keep me posted if you fix it and show it going off and then show the soft top. Many thanks. ...

@DrMarkD – The top has gone up smoothly in the past. I’ve not had any trouble with the soft top but the day the photographer came out the electric release to the hard top seems to be stuck and so I’ve not been able to release the hard top. My regular mechanic says it’s a simple solenoid that I need to replace but he doesn’t do that kind of work. He’s a one man shop and prides himself in what he does. So I’ll try to find an answer tomorrow. Everything else works great that I known. I purchased the car a little over a year ago, from the original owner who always kept it garaged and was very fastidious in it’s maintenance and care. ...
