This 1980 Chevrolet Camaro coupe received several mechanical upgrades within the last 1,000 miles, including a 383ci V8 stroker engine, a Tremec TKO 500 5-speed manual gearbox, an Edelbrock intake and carburetor, Sanderson Headers headers, a custom exhaust system, and more. Other features include power steering and brakes, A/C, coil-over shocks, and new BFGoodrich tires. Refinished in red over a tan vinyl interior, this 65K-mile second-generation Camaro comes with build documentation, receipts, service records, and a clear title in the seller's name.
Approximately 15 years ago, the body was refinished in red under previous ownership. Accents include silver upper and lower grille mesh, metallic headlight surrounds, Camaro fender badges, bright greenhouse and rocker panel trim, tri-color taillights, and dual exhaust finishers attached to the new custom exhaust system.
The car rolls on polished 5-spoke wheels surrounded by new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
According to the seller, the interior is original. It features a tan dashboard and matching tan vinyl seating, door panels, seat belts, and carpeting. Equipment includes manual crank windows, a remote-control driver's mirror, A/C, an aftermarket audio head unit, and a Sony Xplod subwoofer in the carpeted trunk, which also contains a spare tire.
Instrumentation consists of an 85-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, and coolant temperature. An aftermarket gauge is attached to the steering column. According to the seller who put 30K miles on the car in their 13 years of ownership, the 65,324 miles displayed on the 5-digit odometer are accurate.
Under the hood is a 383ci V8 stroker engine with fewer than 1,000 miles equipped with an Edelbrock intake and carburetor, Sanderson Headers headers, an MSD HEI distributor, an aluminum power steering fluid reservoir, a Derale Performance cooling fan, and a polished billet aluminum front-runner serpentine drive system. An upgraded Tremec TKO 500 5-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels.
The car has been equipped with coil-over shocks and a rear sway bar, which can be seen in the gallery to the right.
Build documentation, receipts, and service records will be included with the sale.
