This 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is finished in Lapis Blue Metallic over Graphite Grey interior and is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-6 engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission with all-wheel-drive. The car was originally sold in New York and subsequently had ownership history in New Jersey, before moving to Virginia. Equipment includes a retractable rear wing, a glass-composite rear deck, Bi-Xenon headlights, and dual exhaust. This Carrera is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clean Virginia title in the selling dealer’s name.
The car is finished in Lapis Blue Metallic with no previous paint or bodywork with the exception of stone chips touched up on the hood and front bumper. The Carrera 4S shares many of the same design elements as the Turbo model including 2.4" wider rear fenders, and three grille front bumper. Features include a retractable rear wing that deploys automatically at 75mph, Bi-Xenon headlights with washers and dual exhaust with polished tips.
The car rides on ”Turbo Twist" wheels mounted to Continental tires measuring 225-40-18 up front and 295-30-18 in the rear. Braking is provided by 330mm cross-drilled and ventilated discs on all four corners with red 4-piston calipers. Many of the suspension components on the 4S are shared with the Turbo, giving the car a ride height 0.4" lower than the standard Carrera.
The interior optioned with the full leather package in Graphite Gray, which includes leather power-adjustable bucket seats, door panels, upper and lower dash, center console and steering wheel and matching floor mats. Additional equipment includes a lumbar support driver's seat, aluminum & leather shifter, and brake handle, and Bose stereo. The original factory head unit has been replaced with an updated Pioneer touch screen unit.
Instrumentation includes a 200-mph speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, as well as gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. A TFT display is fitted in each of the gauge pods providing a digital speedometer, clock, and odometer which shows just under 56k miles, of which about 200 miles have been added by the selling dealer over the last two months.
The 3.6-liter flat-6 cylinder engine features direct injection and dual overhead cams with VarioCam Plus management increasing the factory output to 320 horsepower from 300 in the previous year. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission delivering power to all four wheels through a viscous-coupled transfer case. The most recent maintenance includes the 60k service as well as a full inspection and oil change performed by the selling dealer. Service records from the previous two owners are included in the sale as well.
With a starting base price of $80,200 for 2002, the original MSRP of this particular Carrera 4S was $87,510. Included in the sale are service records from the previous two owners as well as a clean CARFAX report.
