Vehicle Story

This restored and rust-free 1936 Ford Phaeton street rod is powered by a 327ci Chevrolet V8 backed by an automatic transmission. Features include a LeBaron Bonney convertible top with side curtains and a glass rear window, manual steering, hydraulic brakes, dual exhaust outlets, and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo. This metallic maroon 1936 Ford Phaeton street rod with a tan vinyl interior is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear Massachusetts title.

The body has been restored and refinished in PPG metallic maroon along with the grill insert. Features include dual headlights, rubber running boards, chrome bumpers, dual rear taillamps, a tan LeBaron Bonney canvas convertible top with side curtains and a glass rear window, a cowl vent, and dual side mirrors.

Narrow front and deep-dish rear steel wheels with accent pinstripes, dog dish center caps, and stainless trim rings are wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

The front bench seat, matching rear seat, and door panels have been recovered in tan vinyl from LeBaron Bonney. Features include a body-color banjo steering wheel, an under-dash heater and aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo, a body-color steel dashboard, seat belts, and tan carpeting.

A Mooneyes-branded 140-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature are mounted in a custom aluminum panel attached to the dashboard. The 6-digit odometer shows 11,975 miles, but the true mileage on the vehicle is unknown.

Power is provided by a 327ci Chevrolet V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include double-hump heads, body-color finned Edelbrock valve covers and open-element air cleaner, a chrome alternator, a chrome MSD ignition coil, an aluminum intake with a 4-barrel carburetor, and headers.

According to the selling dealer, the chassis features hydraulic brakes, a 9-inch Ford rear axle with traction bars, front and rear sway bars, and a Chevelle steering box.
