Vehicle Story

This 1969 Chevrolet Nova is a performance-built coupe powered by a 383ci stroker V8 paired with an automatic transmission. It was reportedly treated to a full rebuild and outfitted with silver accent striping, SS badging, polished aluminum wheels, and more. Finished in Graphite Pearl over a black vinyl interior, this third-generation Nova is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

The compact Chevy II Nova model was produced on the General Motors X-body platform when it was introduced in 1962 in various body styles including coupes, sedans, convertibles, and station wagons. A second generation debuted in 1966. In 1968, the third generation came out with a redesigned exterior on a longer 111-inch wheelbase. This 1969 Nova two-door was repainted Graphite Pearl with silver accent striping on the hood, trunk, and sides. The exterior is dressed in bright accents for the bumpers, grille, 350 and SS badging, side mirrors, and window trim.

Polished aluminum five-spoke wheels are wrapped in low-profile tires. Stopping is handled by disc brakes.

The all-black interior is fitted with reupholstered vinyl bucket seats, vinyl door panels, a padded dash, and matching carpeting.

Instrumentation consists of a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The 5-digit odometer currently shows 6,845 miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The 383ci stroker V8 has been upgraded with a chrome-finished air cleaner and an MSD ignition system. Power is fed to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission. A pair of batteries are mounted in the trunk. The selling dealer has posted a video of the car starting and idling below.

AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 3/30/22 12:21 PM: The noted color of the vehicle has been changed from black to Graphite Pearl per the selling dealer's request.

AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 4/6/22 8:01 AM: A cold start video has been added.
