Vehicle Story

This Factory Five Racing ’33 Hot Rod was purchased as a kit in 2012, assembled by the seller, and equipped with a Ford 351ci Windsor V8 built by Flathead City and backed by a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission. Features include an independent front suspension, a 3-link rear suspension, and 4-wheel disc brakes. The build documentation, build receipts, a copy of the manufacturer’s certificate of origin, and factory literature will be included with the sale. This Factory Five Racing kit car finished in matte 2011 Corvette Supersonic Blue with a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear Pennsylvania SPC (specially constructed vehicle) title in the seller’s name.

The exterior of this fenderless 3-window coupe is refinished in 2011 Corvette Supersonic Blue and features commercial headlights with integrated turn signals, a metal grille shell, open hood sides, oval taillights, and a quarter panel-mounted fuel door.

A pair of Cragar Eliminator 5-spoke wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich T/A redline radial tires are mounted at the front. Black steel wheels with matching tires are located at the rear.

The bucket seats are covered in black vinyl along with the door panels. Black carpet covers the cabin floor. Features include a center tunnel-mounted Tremec TKO 600 5-speed shifter, aluminum brake and clutch pedals, a tilt steering column with a 3-spoke billet steering wheel, a heater, and Simpson Racing harnesses.

Auto Meter vintage-style gauges, including a 120-mph speedometer and displays for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature, provide vehicle information to the driver.

A Ford 351ci Windsor V8 built by Flathead City is backed by a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission and sends power to the rear wheels. The engine reportedly produces 466 horsepower and features MSD ignition, an Edelbrock 750-cfm 4-barrel carburetor, Ford Racing valve covers, a 4-inch Lunati crankshaft, hydraulic roller lifters, and custom-built headers with baffles. A complete list of engine specifications and a video of this hot rod running can be seen in the carousel to the right.

The front suspension is comprised of tubular upper and lower control arms with center-mounted Koni coil-overs. The rear end has a Ford 8.8-inch solid axle, a Traction-Lok differential with 3:31 gears, and a 3-link setup. Disc brakes can be found at the front and rear.

Build documentation and receipts, a copy of the manufacturer’s certificate of origin, and factory literature will be included with the sale. A video is available for viewing below.
