This 2011 Cadillac CTS-V performance coupe reportedly received $30,000 in performance upgrades for its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 including forged Wiseco pistons, a Kong Performance ported blower, an AIRAID cold air intake, a Nick Williams boosted throttle body, and more that help the engine produce 785 horsepower on 91-octane gas. It has been driven 79,000 miles since new and comes equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear Mickey Thompson ET street tires. Finished in Thunder Gray over a two-tone black and tan leather and microsuede interior, this second-generation CTS-V is now offered by the selling dealer with a CARFAX report and a clear California title.
The CTS executive car was a grand touring model manufactured beginning in the 2003 model year as a four-door sedan on the GM Sigma platform. The CTS name later went on to be applied to a variety of body styles including coupes and station wagons. The second generation came to the marketplace in 2008 and was longer and wider than the original car, with cosmetic updates including sharper exterior lines, a larger grille, and slimmer headlights and taillights. This CTS-V coupe from 2011 is painted Thunder Gray and features mesh grille inserts, fog lamps, a panoramic sunroof, a power-dome hood, LED taillights, and a center-exit exhaust setup at the rear.
Polished aluminum 19-inch wheels are shod with Nitto front tires and Mickey Thompson ET street radials in the rear. Handling is assisted by Magnetic Ride Control and braking is handled by six-piston Brembo calipers over four-wheel anti-lock discs.
The cockpit is fitted with two-tone black and tan power-adjustable leather and microsuede Recaro front bucket seats. The same motif carries through to the door panels and rear seats. The dash, center stack, and doors are accented with woodgrain trim. Additional amenities include a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Bose stereo with a pop-up screen, power convenience options, cruise control, navigation, heated and ventilated front seats, and more.
Instrumentation is presented by a 200-mph speedometer, a 9K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer reads 79K miles, which is consistent with the last mileage figure shown on the CARFAX report.
The 6.2-liter supercharged V8 was factory rated at 556 horsepower. In this vehicle, it has been upgraded to a 785-horsepower rating thanks to custom work performed within the last 1,000 miles. The list of added performance equipment includes the following:
- Forged Wiseco pistons
- K1 Technologies forged H-beam rods
- ARP bolts
- 2.35-inch stainless-steel Griptech upper pulley
- ATI 9.84-inch lower pulley pushing 15.5 PSI boost
- Ported blower by Kong Performance
- Stage 3 Texas Speed and Performance camshaft
- Ported PRC heads by Texas Speed and Performance
- AIRAID 4-inch cold air intake
- 102mm Nick Williams boosted throttle body
- DSX Tuning flex fuel kit
- DSX Tuning auxiliary fuel pump system
- 1300cc FID injectors
- PNR 8-gallon trunk tank ice box with EMO pump and 1-inch hose
- Mightymouse catch can
- Track attack front-mounted heat exchanger
- Camaro ZL1 supercharger lid
- Speed Engineering long tube headers with a full custom exhaust
- Granatelli Motor Sports dual electric low-profile exhaust cut-outs
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 6-speed 6L90 automatic transmission with auxiliary steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
The CARFAX report shows the vehicle was involved in two accidents. The first occurred in February of 2013 and involved the car running off the road, hitting a catch basin, and receiving minor damage to both sides of its front end. The second accident occurred in January of 2015 when the car got into a rear-end collision with another vehicle and received damage to its front end that did not cause the airbags to deploy.
