This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is an SS 396 model that was built in Van Nuys, California in December of 1968 and put through a rotisserie restoration 10 years ago. Its original engine has been replaced with a 454ci V8 equipped with rectangular-port heads, roller rocker arms, a Winters aluminum intake manifold, and a Holly 4-barrel carburetor. The numbers-matching Muncie 4-speed manual gearbox sends power through a 12-bolt Positraction rear end. Conveniences include A/C, power steering, front disc brakes, an AM/FM radio, and a center console with auxiliary gauges. Refinished in its factory-correct Daytona Yellow with black hockey stripes over a black vinyl and houndstooth cloth interior, this first-generation Camaro is available now and comes with an owner's manual, supporting documentation, and a clear Arizona title in the seller's name.
As part of the rotisserie restoration process 10 years ago, the body was repainted in its factory-correct Daytona Yellow (code 76 on the trim tag). The front end features a black grille with an SS badge, dual round headlights, a body-color Endura front bumper, low-mounted turn signals, and a black front spoiler. Black hockey stick side stripes, Camaro SS badges, and chrome wheel and rocker panel moldings accent the sides. A body-color spoiler, black taillight panel, chrome bumper, and factory correct chambered exhaust system.
The car rolls on a set of 14-inch RPO N66 sport wheels, which the seller states only came on 314 1969 Camaros, wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
Inside, this Camaro comes with black vinyl front bucket and rear bench seats with black and white houndstooth fabric inserts, black door panels, and a matching dashboard and center floor console. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, 3-spoke steering wheel. The cabin is equipped with manual crank windows, a Hurst shifter, A/C, power steering, a tilt steering column, an AM/FM radio, and lap belts.
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and warning lights for various vehicle systems. A set of auxiliary gauges on the center console shows the voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. According to the seller, true mileage on the car is unknown, but there are approximately 1,100 miles on the new engine.
The original engine has been upgraded with a 454ci V8 that are equipped with high performance rectangular-port heads, roller rocker arms, a Winters aluminum intake manifold with a casting number of 3933163 dated 8/22/68, and a 750-cfm Holly Double Pumper 4-barrel carburetor. Power is sent to the road through a numbers-matching Muncie 4-speed manual gearbox and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end with a casting code of 3894860NF.
The power braking system has front discs and rear drums. Handling is assisted by power steering.
An owner's manual will be included with the sale.

The trim tag says 711 which is a black interior. Someone must have added the houndstooth. I like it though...

Nice job on the listing it is way under the numbers for this quality of a car docs or not like most I would love to have it I would wish you good luck but you already have it better start looking for another car
It's a real gorgeous car! The only trouble is the early production trim tag Which doesn't show it's true badge such as x11, x22, x33,, x66 x77 etc showing a ss car. The only thing that concerns me is the ss tends to have m21 tranny unless it was optioned for m20? You said there's documents so are you able to show proof of optioned tranny and it's a 396 ss?
Do you have proof that it's a real deal 396 ss?
