1-Owner 1999 Plymouth Prowler

This one-owner 1999 Plymouth Prowler roadster is accompanied by a color-matched removable top as well as an accessory trailer for added cargo capacity. This third-year Prowler is powered by a 3.5-liter EGG V6 paired with a 42LE 4-speed automatic transmission and offers amenities including color-keyed dash trim, staggered 17- and 20-inch aluminum wheels, and power-assisted disc brakes. The retro-styled Prowler two-door roadster went into production by DaimlerChrysler in 1997 on the PR platform. The body utilized aluminum construction and final assembly was carried out by hand in Detroit, Michigan. This Prowler from 1999 is one of 3,921 models produced for the year and per the selling dealer was repainted Prowler Yellow Clearcoat a number of years ago under prior ownership and is accompanied by a color-matched removable hardtop. In addition, this Prowler includes an optional color-matched Ajax trailer for additional cargo capacity that was a $5,000 option when new. The exterior has an open front end design with individual wheel fenders, split front and rear bumpers, an LED third brake lamp, and dual exhausts.

Staggered silver-finished five-spoke aluminum wheels measure 17 inches in diameter in the front and 20 inches in the rear. Those are wrapped in tires that show good tread remaining. Handling is assisted by power steering. Braking comes from front and rear vented discs.

The cockpit is fitted with black leather bucket seats with Prowler logos on the seatbacks and matching door panels, dash, console, and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, a leather-wrapped and tilt-adjustable steering wheel, cruise control, keyless entry, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD radio with a remote 6-disc CD changer.

Instrumentation is housed within a body-colored bezel at the center of the dash and includes a 150-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The selling dealer reports there are 36,213 miles on the odometer.

The 3.5-liter EGG SOHC V6 was rated at 253 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed 42LE automatic transmission with Autostick.

The CARFAX report starts in July of 1998 and shows that the car had an accident-free history in New York and Florida. The sale includes promotional documentation, a matching trailer, and a color-matched hardtop with an accompanying storage stand.
