Vehicle Story

Taken down to bare metal and restored in 1999, this 1947 Chevrolet 3100 5-window is powered by an MSD fuel-injected 355ci V8 engine backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include a chopped roof, a new interior, power bucket seats, air conditioning, digital gauges, an aftermarket sound system with navigation, and power brakes. This orange and white Chevrolet pickup with an orange and white leather interior comes with restoration photos and a clear Massachusetts title.

This 1947 Chevrolet truck was restored in 1999 and refinished in white for the main body and orange for the fenders and running boards. The roof was chopped 1.5 inches in the front and 2 inches in the back. Features include dual headlamps, a chrome grille, a chrome front bumper, and a rear roll pan with LED taillights and an inset license plate pocket. A wood bed floor has been mounted using stainless strips and fasteners.

A full set of 18-inch polished aluminum Billet Specialities 2-piece wheels are wrapped in radial tires. According to the seller, the tires were new in 2009.

The custom leather interior installed in 2021 is furnished with late-model power bucket seats upholstered in orange with diamond-patterned white inserts, a center console with a folding armrest, and matching door panels. Equipment includes a chrome steering column topped with a billet aluminum steering wheel, an aftermarket Alpine CD head unit with navigation, a Vintage Air climate control system, and one-piece side windows.

The vehicle information can be seen on the dash-mounted dual round Dakota Digital gauges that include a speedometer, tachometer, and readouts for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage.

The power is provided by an MSD fuel-injected 355ci V8 engine with an aluminum Edelbrock intake, black valve covers, an open-element air cleaner, and chrome engine accessories, backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. A video of this Chevrolet running can be seen in the carousel to the right.

An independent front suspension frame clip has been grafted to the matte black frame rails. Braking is assisted by a dual-circuit master cylinder, a power booster, and front discs. A full-length dual exhaust system runs from the tube headers and exits next to the rear-mounted fuel tank.

Photos of the restoration will be included with the sale.
