1998 Bentley Azure

This 1998 Bentley Azure convertible was manufactured in Crewe, England as one of 209 units of its kind for the model year and has been driven 36,486 miles since new. Power from the turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 is sent to the road through a 4-speed GM 4L80-E automatic transmission. This Azure was sold to its original owner in May of 1998 in Coopersville, Michigan and has received service to the suspension, braking system, convertible top, and other components. Finished in Black Garnet over a Parchment leather interior with Wildberry accents, this Azure is now offered by the selling dealer with books, tools, service records, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Florida title.

The Azure grand-touring convertible debuted in 1995 on the Continental R platform. Pininfarina contributed to the engineering of the convertible top and other areas. This Azure from 1998 is one of 209 units produced, according to Pininfarina production records. Its rust-free body is finished in Black Garnet (9540014) and was reportedly previously owned by a meticulous owner. The power-operated retractable top is finished in Wildberry and its supporting mechanisms were overhauled in 2019 as shown in the service records. The body has custom pinstriping, LeMans-style front wing vents, stainless steel headlight surrounds, a hood ornament, and a chrome fuel filler cap with a jewel accent.

Chrome-finished 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with Bentley center caps are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering. Stopping power comes via four-wheel discs. The CARFAX report shows that the brake pads and rotors were replaced in 2016. The suspension received new compliance bushings in 2017.

The four-seat interior is fitted with power-adjustable Parchment leather seating and accenting Wildberry for the dash top, steering wheel, shifter, and center console armrest. The cabin features embossed logos on the headrests and burled walnut trim. Additional amenities include cross-drilled aluminum pedals, air conditioning, power windows, and an AM/FM/cassette sound system.

Instrumentation is housed within decorative chrome rings and includes a 170-mph speedometer, a 5K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. The digital odometer reads 36,486 miles, which is in line with the last mileage figure entered on the CARFAX report.

The Garrett-turbocharged L410 6.75-liter V8 was rated at 385 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque when new. The CARFAX report shows that the air conditioning system was serviced in 2013 and a subsequent service record shows that the evaporator along with an oxygen sensor was replaced in 2018. Additional maintenance per the service records includes the replacement of the power steering pump hoses. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a GM 4L80-E 4-speed automatic transmission.

The CARFAX report shows a history free of accidents and damage. The vehicle last passed an emissions inspection in Tennessee in November of 2020. The sale will include books and tools as well as service records.
