7K-mile 1997 Chevrolet Camaro SS 6-Speed

This 1997 Chevrolet Camaro SS is finished in Arctic White over houndstooth and is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car was originally sold in Montana where it resided until early 2020 when the seller acquired it and relocated it to Arizona.  Equipment includes the Z28 Preferred Equipment Group #2 including fog lamps, leather steering wheel, removable roof panels with locks, 30th-anniversary appearance package, and SLP SS upgrade package. Located in Chandler, AZ this Camaro is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name. 

All 25th Anniversary Edition cars were finished in Arctic White with orange stripes across the top. The hood is made from a lightweight composite material with a functional ram air intake and a flush-mounted spoiler is installed on the trunk. Additional features include removable glass T-tops, fog lamps, orange, and white SS badges, and sport mirrors. The retains its original factory finish and the CARFAX shows no accidents or damage reports.

The car is fitted with 17" 5-spoke wheels finished in white, unique to the 30th Anniversary Edition, wrapped in The Nitto NT05 tires installed January 2020. The suspension is upgraded from the factory with a larger front anti-sway bar, and braking is handled by disc brakes all around.  Additional equipment includes monotube shocks and power rack & pinion steering.

The interior features power-adjustable white leather bucket seats with houndstooth inserts, which are exclusive for the Anniversary package.  Special SS front floor mats and a Hurst performance shifter accompany the car as part of the factory SLP alterations, while additional features include Solar-Ray tinted glass, a ComforTilt steering wheel, and a folding rear seat.  The factory stereo head unit is retained and includes a remote CD changer with a 12-disc magazine.

Instrumentation consists of a full analog gauge cluster with a 150-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level.  The 6-digit digital odometer reads just under 7,800 miles,1k of which have been added by the seller over eight months of ownership. 

The 5.7-liter LT1 V8 is original and unmodified recently serviced by a Chevrolet dealership six months ago. Work performed includes a rear differential service, rear brake service, manual transmission fluid change, coolant change, power steering change, and oil change, receipts are shown in the photo gallery. When new, the LT1 V8 was factory rated at 275 horsepower before the SLP performance upgrades and is backed by a 6-speed manual transmission.

The window sticker reflects an original price of $25,026, not including the additional $5,295 for the SS alteration package.  The sale includes an owner’s manual, recent service records, window sticker and addendum, and a clean CARFAX report.
