This 1965 Pontiac GTO two-door coupe is powered by a 389ci V8 with tri-power added and a 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, bucket seats, an AM radio, a floor-shift center console, and dual exhaust outlets. This Mayfair Maize GTO with a Parchment and Black vinyl interior is available now and comes with PHS Historic Services documentation, the original Protect-O-Plate and window sticker, the uninstalled original engine block, and a clear Indiana title.
The body has been refinished in the factory-correct color of Mayfair Maize (Code Y), as verified by the data tag. Features include chrome front and rear bumpers, quad vertical headlights, a black split grille, a hood scoop, wheel opening and rocker moldings, GTO emblems, a driver-side rearview mirror, and reverse lights.
A set of 14-inch Pontiac Rallye I wheels with chrome center caps and trim rings wear Coker Classic redline radial tires.
The front bucket seats, matching rear seat, and interior trim come in factory-correct Parchment and Black (Code 218). Features include a black headliner, rear speaker deck, center console, steel dashboard, and steering wheel. Additional content includes manual windows, an AM radio, and woodgrain dashboard accents.
A 120-mph speedometer with a 5-digit odometer showing 40,247 miles, an aftermarket Suntune 8K-rpm tachometer, a fuel gauge, and the warning lights for the voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are mounted in a woodgrain accent panel. An aftermarket pair of Auto Meter gauges showing the oil pressure and coolant temperature are located under the dashboard.
The power is provided by a 389ci V8 with an upgraded tri-power intake and carburetors, and processed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include a 7-blade fan and fan clutch, aftermarket headers, chrome valve covers, chrome open-element tri-power air cleaners, power steering, and correct Pontiac blue engine paint. The current engine block is a 389ci Pontiac unit that was warrantied and replaced by GM in 1965 when the original one cracked. The original block is included with the sale.
This GTO came factory-equipped with sports-style springs and shocks, an independent front suspension, power steering, full-length dual exhaust, a sway bar, a perimeter frame, and a coil spring-mounted rear axle. All suspension components, the frame, and the body floors have been finished in matte black.
The sale includes PHS Historic Services documentation, the original Protect-O-Plate and window sticker, and the uninstalled original engine block.

A gorgeous car, even with the automatic. I'm sure DeLorean is probably smiling somewhere. Too bad the vehicle doesn't have factory-installed AC. No AC in south Texas is almost a death sentence.
Love the GT0 as I have a 1967 but to me I have to have a 4 speed- nothing compares to you being in control of shifting gears
