39k-Mile 2005 Chevrolet Corvette

This 2005 Chevrolet Corvette is an unmodified first-year C6 convertible that has driven 38,909 miles since new and receives power from a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. This Corvette was sold to its first owner in Washington in September of its model year and has remained in the Pacific Northwest since new, showing all stock equipment, staggered aluminum wheels, and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Finished in Orange Metallic with a black cloth power-operated retractable top over a black leather interior, this C6 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer with a CARFAX report and a clear Oregon title.

The sixth generation of the Corvette conveyed design language drawn by Tom Peters and was built in Bowling Green, Kentucky on the General Motors Y-body platform. Bodywork included an all-new exterior with exposed headlamps, vented front fenders, and quad taillamps. This Corvette convertible from that first year of the generation is painted Orange Metallic and offset by a black cloth power-operated retractable top. Equipment includes daytime running lamps, HID headlights, fog lamps, and color-keyed side-view mirrors. The selling dealer notes that the exterior condition is consistent with the car’s low odometer reading and demonstrates clean panels with good fitment.

Polished aluminum five-spoke wheels are staggered in size with 18” up front and 19” in the rear, wrapped in tires with good tread remaining. The suspension uses unequal-length double wishbones and transverse fiberglass mono-leaf springs, the alignment was checked in July 2021. Steering is power-assisted, and handling capability is aided with stability control and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors.

The two-seat cockpit is fitted with black leather power-adjustable bucket seats, matching black door panels, center console, dash, carpeting, and floor mats. Features include power windows, power door locks, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a vanity mirror, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, push-button start, and an AM/FM/CD stereo.

Instrumentation is presented in the form of a 220-mph speedometer, a 7,500-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 38,909 miles, which is a true reading supported by the CARFAX report.

The 6.0-liter LS2 V8 was rated at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque when new. The CARFAX notes that the oil was changed at a Chevrolet dealership in October 2021. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed 4L65-E automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The CARFAX report shows an accident on record from 2007 but it is noted that the airbags did not deploy.
