This 1988 Chevrolet Corvette Z01 35th Anniversary coupe is one of 2,050 “Triple White” units produced for the model year and receives power from a fuel-injected 5.7-liter L98 V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. This Corvette has been in Illinois its entire life and comes in unmodified condition with equipment including the Z52 Sport Handling Package and a newer Pioneer audio system. Finished in White over a White leather interior, this limited-production C4 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer with a CARFAX report and a clear title.
The fourth-generation Corvette entered showrooms in the 1984 model year and was offered in Targa and convertible body styles on the General Motors Y-body platform. In 1988, a 35th Anniversary version debuted known as the “Triple White” Corvette in coupe form only with White finishes (40) for the exterior, interior, and matching wheels. A total of 2,050 units were manufactured. This example shows rust-free, straight panels. Features include pop-up headlights, a removable acrylic roof panel, and 35th Anniversary commemorative badging on the sides of the hood.
White-finished 17-inch aluminum wheels are wrapped in low-profile tires. Stopping power comes from four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Steering is power-assisted and handling is augmented by the Z52 Sport Handling Package, according to the selling dealer.
The two-seat cockpit is fitted with power-operated white leather bucket seats, which tie in with the door panels, center console, and steering wheel, while the dash and carpeting are black. Amenities include automatic climate control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit. The center console features a commemorative engraved placard that lists the car’s engine specifications.
Instrumentation includes a bar-style 85-mph digital speedometer, a 6K-rpm digital tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and fuel economy. The 6-digit mechanical odometer reads 126K miles. The last mileage figure entered on the CARFAX report was 109,205 miles in May of 2015.
The 5.7-liter L98 V8 with tuned port fuel injection came with factory ratings of 245 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. The CARFAX shows that an oil change was completed at 109K miles in 2015. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed automatic transmission.
The CARFAX report shows an accident dated 2017 involving the front of the vehicle. There are open manufacturer safety recalls dated 1991 for the safety belt retractors with a remedy listed as available. A subsequent notice in 1993 pertains to evaporative emission hose deterioration.

@mcecars – The front bumper cover had minor damage. No structure damage. As for the recalls, that I am not sure as I do not have access to the original owners. ...
Thanks- any idea how many owners there have been?

@getbackjack01 – Not enough horsepower & an 85 mph speedometer! Yikes!! ...
But we both know that 85 isn’t the max. ;)

The 80’s were not good to the sports cars and turbo cars. 85 mph dashes went into grand nationals too.
