Vehicle Story

This rust-free 1973 Ford Mustang has been with the same family since the 1970s and is powered by a 302ci V8 engine backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include air conditioning converted to 134A refrigerant, power brakes, and power steering. This white first-generation Mustang with a green vinyl and black cloth interior is available now and comes with service records, an owner's manual, and a clear Arizona title.

The white paint shows patina and wear from age, the left front corner of the driver’s fender has a dent, and mid-body trim is missing on the right front fender and driver-side door. Features include a black grille, dual headlamps, a white vinyl top, color-keyed front bumper and sport mirrors, a rear chrome bumper with bumper guards, and rocker panel and wheel arch trim.

A set of steel wheels wear simulated Rallye wheel hub caps and are wrapped in Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 raised-white-letter radial tires. According to the seller, the tires hold air, but should be replaced.

The front bucket seats are upholstered in light green vinyl with cloth inserts and the rear seat is upholstered in black cloth. The remainder of the interior features light green rear trim and door panels, a light green center console with an automatic shifter and clock, a light green dashboard with an aftermarket carpeted cover, manual windows, factory air conditioning converted to 134A, and a light green 2-spoke steering wheel. The passenger-side door panel has tape on the armrest, the front seats show damage and splitting, and the carpeting and radio have been removed. The steering wheel pad is missing the center emblem and the original light green dash top is cracking from age.

A 120-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, and warning lights for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and brake system are mounted in a black panel ahead of the driver. According to the seller, there are 107,066 miles on the odometer.

Power is provided by a 302ci V8 engine backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include blue stamped steel valve covers, an aftermarket finned aluminum open-element air cleaner, power steering, and an air conditioning compressor converted to run 134A. According to the seller, this Mustang has spent a lot of time parked, but is now running and driving and the engine has been refreshed and tuned up. A new battery and master cylinder have been installed in the last two months. A video of this Mustang starting and running can be seen in the carousel to the right.

This unibody Mustang was originally equipped with an independent coil-spring front suspension, leaf springs, and a solid rear drive axle. A full-length dual exhaust with quad exhaust tips and the original underbody primer and body color can be seen in the carousel to the right.

Service records and an owner's manual are included with the sale of the vehicle.
