This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has driven only 200 miles since a mechanical overhaul of its numbers-matching rebuilt 327ci small-block Turbo Fire V8 wherein it received service to the radiator, bearings, lifters, camshaft, and exhaust system. A console-shifted Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels through a set of gold-line tires, and exterior dress-up accents include side-exit exhausts, bright bumpers, and functional fender vents. This Corvette reportedly was California kept before being relocated to the selling dealer in Minnesota and displays rust-free, straight finishes throughout. Finished in Nassau Blue with a white cloth retractable top over a blue vinyl interior, this C2 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer with an owner’s manual, original Protect-O-Plate, Air Injection Reaction components, and a clear Minnesota title.
Beginning in 1963, the Corvette began its second generation and received new Sting Ray styling. Design revisions were made each year that followed, and in 1966 the front end was updated with an eggcrate grille. This Corvette convertible from that model year was repainted Nassau Blue in place of the car’s original Laguna Blue exterior finish, and the body is complemented by a white cloth retractable top with a plastic rear window. Features include hidden headlamps, chrome split bumpers, triple vents in each front fender, and side-mounted chambered exhaust pipes. The selling dealer notes that the exterior finishes have been touched up in some areas.
Multi-spoke 15” wheels with knock-off spinner caps are wrapped in gold-line tires with good tread remaining. Brakes are power-assisted four-wheel discs and have a new master cylinder, calipers, hoses, and pads. The suspension benefits from new shock absorbers and a new steering stabilizer.
The two-seat twin-cowl interior is fitted with reupholstered blue vinyl (414) low-back bucket seats, matched to the center console, door panels, dashboard, and carpeting. Amenities include a wood-rimmed steering wheel, aluminum door sill plates, color-matched floor mats, and lap belts. The selling dealer notes that the vertically-stacked push-button radio is not working.
Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock in the center stack, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 69k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The numbers-matching rebuilt 327ci Turbo Fire V8 was rated at 318 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. Recent work within the last 200 miles includes service to the exhaust manifolds and replacement of the camshaft, battery, lifters, pistons, bearings, radiator, and heater core along with a valve job. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission.

The sale includes an owner’s manual, Protect-O-Plate, and components for an Air Injection Reaction system. The selling dealer has provided a video illustrating additional details about the vehicle. A $150 dealer fee will be added to the sale.
