This two-door 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT is a four-wheel-drive SUV that was purchased from its original owner in 2013, then put through a reportedly $40,000 restoration of the 4-speed automatic transmission, fuel injection system, braking system, air conditioning, suspension, electronics, interior, and more. During the process, a 5.7-liter Vortec V8 crate engine was installed. Exterior features include chrome tube steps, roof rails with crossbars, a hitch receiver, and new wheels with Goodyear tires. The cabin offers power windows, locks, and mirrors; center and overhead consoles; a column-mounted automatic transmission shifter; a floor-mounted transfer case lever; an AM/FM radio; and a CD player. Refinished in maroon over a gray leather interior, this final-year two-door Tahoe is a member of the Chevy Truck Legends group and comes with an uninstalled set of new factory wheels and Goodyear tires, 21 years of maintenance and restoration receipts, Chevy Truck Legends decals and memorabilia, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Arizona title in the seller's name.
Under previous ownership between 2013 and 2022, the exterior was repainted in maroon and equipped with a variety of new parts, including the chrome grille, quad rectangular headlights, and chrome rear bumper with black impact strips. Other features include front tow hooks, wheel arch and side moldings, chrome tube steps, Chevrolet mud flaps, roof rails with crossbars, and a trailer hitch receiver.
The truck comes with new 16-inch factory wheels and Goodyear Wrangler tires as well as a matching uninstalled new set of wheels and tires.
As part of the restoration process, the cabin was outfitted with new sound insulation, carpeting, and leather bucket front and rear bench seats. In addition, the electronics, audio system, and air conditioning hardware were overhauled. The interior features power windows, locks, and mirrors; center and overhead consoles; a column-mounted automatic transmission shifter; a floor-mounted transfer case lever; gray WeatherTech front floor mats; a Delco AM/FM/cassette radio; and a CD player. The rear storage area contains a gray cargo liner and carpeted spare tire cover.
Important vehicle information is delivered through a 6K-rpm tachometer, 100-mph speedometer, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. According to the seller, the second owner purchased the truck from the original buyer in 2013 when the odometer showed 253K miles and subsequently replaced the engine with a 5.7-liter Vortec V8 crate engine. An entry on the CARFAX report dated January of 2022 shows an odometer reading of 323,039 miles.
The 5.7-liter Vortec V8 crate engine is connected to newer dual batteries, an overhauled fuel injection system and 4-speed automatic transmission, and a 2-speed transfer case. According to the seller, the 4X4 system has seldomly been used because the truck has mostly covered highway miles.
Other parts covered by the restoration carried out under previous ownership include the front end, power steering box, suspension, and braking system.
The CARFAX report starts in May of 1998 when the Tahoe was exported from Mexico to Florida and shows an accident-free vehicle history in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, Massachusetts, and Arizona. The sale includes an uninstalled set of new factory wheels and Goodyear Wrangler tires, 21 years of maintenance and restoration receipts, and Chevy Truck Legends decals and memorabilia.
