This 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa is powered by a rear-mounted 2.7-liter flat-6 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include manual windows, manual brakes, bucket seats, Posi-Traction, electronic ignition, and an electronic fuel pump. This red Corvair with a gray cloth and black vinyl interior comes with a clear title from the seller.
The body was resprayed once in a shade of red brighter than the original Regal Red. Features include quad headlights, a front chin spoiler, a silver rear accent panel with quad taillights, and chrome trim. According to the seller, there is a quarter-sized paint flaw near the driver’s side mirror and overspray on the passenger window. All glass is in good condition with no cracks or chips. All body panels and exterior chrome are free of dents.
A set of 15-inch 5-spoke Camaro wheels are wrapped in newer 205/60/R15 BFGoodrich Advantage T/A radial tires. The center caps are not present. The seller suggests running 22 psi in the front tires and 32 psi in the rear tires for improved handling at high speed.
The original front seats have been replaced with reclining Porsche-inspired cloth bucket seats with adjustable headrests. The seller notes that the front driver’s seat has a wear spot where it gets rubbed upon entry. The full-width rear seat is upholstered in black vinyl. Features include seat belts in all seating locations, red rear trim and door panels, black carpeting, a floor-mounted 4-speed manual shifter, a red steel dashboard with black accents, an original functional AM radio without an antenna, and a red 2-spoke steering wheel with a chrome half horn ring. According to the seller, the gloss red portions of the dashboard, rear trim, and door panel top areas retain the car's original Regal Red color and the headlights, turn signals, windshield wipers, and gauges work.
A 140-mph speedometer, 6K-rpm tachometer, factory clock, and gauges for monitoring the manifold vacuum, fuel level, and cylinder head temperature are mounted in a black panel in front of the driver. According to the seller, the odometer showing 64K miles is broken and they've driven the car fewer than 1,000 miles during their four years of ownership.
The power is provided by a rear-mounted 2.7-liter flat-6 engine and processed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include an electric fuel pump, electronic ignition, and open-element air filters. According to the seller, only ethanol-free 91-octane fuel, Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment, and high-zinc racing oil have been used during their ownership of the car. The current engine oil is Valvoline VR1 20W-50. The oil has been changed when putting the vehicle away for the winter and at the beginning of the driving season, but the engine does leak slightly. The valves were adjusted in November of 2021.
This Corvair was factory equipped with coil spring-mounted front and rear suspensions and manual brakes. The entire underbody is finished in red matching the exterior and the suspension components are finished in matte black. According to the seller, the ductwork for the heater has been removed.
