Vehicle Story

This 1929 Ford Model A pickup is the product of a custom rat-rod build and is powered by an upgraded Corvette-sourced 350ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission. The seller’s family has owned this Model A for 10 years and the seller states it runs perfectly. Finished in satin black over a two-tone black and red vinyl and cloth interior, this custom Model A is now offered with build documentation, receipts, a car cover, and a clear Idaho title in the seller’s name.

Replacing the outgoing Model T, the Model A came to market in 1927 as Ford’s full-size offering in various body styles equipped with a standard set of driver controls. This Model A pickup from 1929 was repainted satin black as part of a custom rat rod build under the seller’s ownership. Body features include aftermarket front marker lamps, chrome radiator trim, widened rear fenders, and a dual exhaust system. The cargo area features wooden planks with stainless steel hardware. The seller has included photos from various stages of the build completion.

A mixed combination of front and rear wheels is wrapped in tires that show tread remaining.

The cab interior is fitted with a two-tone red cloth and black vinyl bench seat, coordinated with the red cloth door panels, black dash, and custom steering wheel.

Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 1,781 miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown. Seller notes the fuel gauge is not working, the wiring needs to be hooked up.

The open-cowl nose holds an upgraded 2000 Chevrolet Corvette-sourced 350ci V8 that has been dressed with chrome accents. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted automatic transmission. The seller notes that the vehicle has a 10-gallon fuel tank with roughly 80 miles of range.

Photos showing the underside are available in the gallery to the right..

The sale includes build documentation, receipts, and a car cover. The seller has provided a series of videos showing the vehicle running and driving.
