This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in gray over a black leather interior and is powered by a 350ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes removable T-top panels, air conditioning, power brakes, an upgraded audio system, and dual exhaust. Acquired by the seller in 2009, the car received a comprehensive restoration both mechanically and cosmetically, with all receipts and records available for work performed. Located in Sacramento, California, this Corvette is now offered for sale on a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Finished in Gunmetal gray, the car was professionally resprayed when the current owner acquired it. Both the front and rear fiberglass bumpers have been replaced and the overall body is straight and free of damage. The car features signature third-generation Corvette pop-up headlamps with halogen headlamps, quad taillamps, and Corvette flag badging both front and rear. Polished trim pieces are featured along the lower rockers as well as the front and rear windows.
Factory 15” aluminum wheels with Corvette insignia center caps are mounted to new BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires in size 255-60-15 on all four corners. The car is equipped with power-assisted disc brakes in both front and rear.
The interior is fitted with bucket seats upholstered in black leather and features matching carpeting, door panels, and center console. The all-black dash is free of cracks and the rest of the interior is shown as well-preserved. The stereo and speakers have been upgraded with Kenwood equipment including an in-dash CD player. The car is equipped with power windows with tinted glass, and an aftermarket keyless entry system has been retrofitted that comes with a battery-operated key fob.
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, along with accompanying gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. There is an analog clock embedded in the instrument cluster. The five-digit odometer reads 18k miles but has rolled over and the actual mileage is 118k. The seller has added 6k miles over the course of 11 years of ownership.
Power is provided by a 350ci V8 engine that is not original to the car but it is correct for the year. Records and maintenance history are available dating back to 2009 throughout the seller’s ownership. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission with a console-mounted shifter.
