Vehicle Story

This 1932 Chevrolet three-window coupe street rod is an older build powered by a 1965 Corvette 327ci V8 engine backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include the reportedly original steel body and fenders, Heidt's Superide independent front suspension, power disc brakes, power steering, Vintage Air climate control, and a tilt steering wheel. This black Chevrolet with a black vinyl and cloth houndstooth interior is available now and comes with a clear Colorado title in the seller's name.

The reportedly original all-steel body and fenders are finished in black lacquer with light turquoise accent pinstriping. Features include dual chrome headlights, a chrome grille, rubber-covered running boards, cowl lamps, chrome hood vents, dual chrome horns, driver- and passenger-side mirrors, a rear-mounted spare tire, chrome bumpers, and dual taillights on chrome stands. According to the seller, the paint has some age-related checking in certain areas. The seller has posted an exterior walkaround video in the gallery to the right.

A set of steel wheels with chrome dog dish hub caps is wrapped in staggered-size whitewall radial tires.

The front bench seat and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl and black and white houndstooth cloth. Features include a tilt GM steering column topped with a cut-down 1959 Impala steering wheel, manual windows, seat belts, black carpet, billet aluminum brake and gas pedals, a gloss black steel dashboard, Vintage Air climate control, and an aftermarket CD stereo head unit.

The set of Stuart Warner instruments includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. According to the seller, there are 15,000 miles on the odometer. True mileage is unknown.

Power is provided by a 1965 Corvette 327ci V8 engine that produces a seller-stated 350 horsepower backed by a TH350 automatic transmission. Features include finned cast-aluminum valve covers, an AFB 4-barrel carburetor with an electric choke, and a 350-horsepower camshaft. Additional hardware includes an Edelbrock intake, a Walker Cobra radiator,  an HEI distributor, Patriot block-hugger headers, camel hump heads, air conditioning, and power steering. According to the seller, the air conditioning will need to be charged, the tachometer is not connected, and the fuel gauge does not work due to a ground wire issue.

The chassis has been modified to accept a Heidt’s Superide independent front suspension with tubular upper and lower control arms, coil-over shocks, and a 10-bolt Nova rear end. Stopping power is provided by power disc brakes.
