This 1998 Dodge Dakota Club Cab pickup comes with color-matched wheel flares, a camper shell, 17-inch R/T wheels, and aftermarket sway bars. The 3.9-liter V6 has been upgraded with performance headers and an electric fan, sending power to the rear through a 5-speed manual transmission. This Dakota was manufactured by Chrysler Canada Ltd. in September of 1997 and has remained in Calgary, Alberta since new. Finished in Emerald Green Pearl over a charcoal cloth interior, this second-generation Dakota is now offered with service records, promotional materials, a build sheet, a clean CARFAX report, and an Alberta Vehicle Registration Certificate in the seller’s name.
Manufactured by the Chrysler Corporation beginning in 1986, the Dakota mid-sized pickup truck used conventional body-on-frame architecture. A second generation was brought to the marketplace in 1997 on the DN platform. This Dakota two-door Club Cab from 1998 wears an Emerald Green Pearl exterior finish with matching bumpers, fender flares, running boards, and camper shell with sliding side windows. The exterior is equipped with fog lamps, a chin spoiler, a front bug shield, and a towing package. The seller has included up-close images of the scratches on some of the paint surfaces and a ding on the passenger-side rear corner of the bed.
Silver split-spoke aluminum 17-inch Dakota R/T wheels are set inside of tires with only 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) on them. The suspension has been upgraded to R/T-specific equipment and includes aftermarket sway bars and rear airbags. Stopping power comes from disc brakes up front and larger rear drums which came as part of the trailer package.
The cab is fitted with charcoal cloth seating, matched to the fold-down center armrest, door panels, dash, carpeting, and floor mats. A small bench seat is in the back of the cab. Conveniences include power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a tilt-adjustable steering column, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, and an AM/FM/CD/cassette head unit. The interior of the cargo area is lined with a bedliner and features a homemade wooden partition and gray fabric curtains on the windows.
Instrumentation includes a 200-km/h speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 127K kilometers (78K miles). The last odometer reading shown on the CARFAX report is 68,683 miles (110,534 kilometers), dated October of 2008.
The fuel-injected 3.9-liter V6 has been upgraded with performance headers, a throttle body spacer, and an electric fan. The seller has also installed air horns. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 5-speed manual transmission.
The CARFAX report shows a vehicle history that is free of accidents or damage. The sale includes service records, a build sheet, manuals, and promotional materials.
AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 5/30/22 7:28 PM: Per the seller, the rear brakes are drums and larger as part of the trailer package.
