This big-block-powered 1958 Chevrolet Apache pickup was custom-built by a street rod specialty facility in Minnesota approximately 10 years ago and harnesses power from a 454ci V8 paired with a 3-speed TH400 automatic transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end. Its restomod treatment includes color-matched exterior trim, shaved door handles, a dropped suspension, and a dual exhaust system. A Pioneer audio system and Vintage Air climate control provide in-cabin entertainment and comfort. Finished in red over a gray cloth interior, this customized Apache is now offered with restoration documentation and a clear Florida title in the current owner’s name.
This 1958 Apache pickup was restored and repainted under prior ownership by L&L Street Rods in Kasson, Minnesota. The restoration was completed in 2012 and encompassed a respray in red along with shaved door handles, integrated bowtie turn signals, bumper-mounted marker lamps, and a color-matched grille and bumper treatment. The exterior features a sunroof, a wrap-around rear window, a pop-up tonneau cover, a shaved rear roll pan, and dual exhausts with polished bowtie-shaped outlets.
Polished aluminum wheels are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires.
Seating in the cab is provided by a gray cloth bench with integrated bolsters, complemented by matching door panels and offset by black lap belts, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include Vintage Air climate control, power windows, and an aftermarket tilt-adjustable steering column.
Dakota Digital instrumentation is housed within a bright V-shaped surround and includes a digital speedometer, a 6K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows 5K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The upgraded big-block 454ci V8 moves power to the back wheels via a floor-shifted TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end.
The suspension has been lowered. Stopping power comes from power-assisted disc brakes with a hidden booster. The rack and pinion steering is also power-assisted.
The sale includes restoration documentation.
