Vehicle Story

This restored 1961 Austin-Healey Sprite is powered by a 948cc inline-4 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include windshield wipers, manual brakes with front discs, front nerf bars, a tonneau cover, and sliding side windows. This metallic silver "bugeye" Sprite with a red vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear Florida title in the seller's name.

The exterior is finished in metallic silver and features a black soft convertible top with a plastic back window. Features include dual headlamps, a chrome grille, front nerf bars, a chrome windshield frame, dual rear taillights, chrome rear bumperettes, and a rear-mounted fuel cap.

A set of 12-hole steel wheels with chrome dog dish center caps are wrapped in radial tires.

The bucket seats are upholstered in red vinyl, which also covers the door panels. Features include working windshield wipers and horn, seat belts, red carpeting, a red vinyl-covered dashboard, a red vinyl tonneau cover, a floor-mounted 4-speed manual shifter, and a 3-spoke Austin-Healey steering wheel with a wood rim.

A 100-mph speedometer, a 6K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are mounted in the dashboard panel ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 63,800 miles, which the seller states are original miles. All gauges are reportedly functional.

Power is provided by a 948cc inline-4 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include a heater, new manual brake master cylinder, dual SU carburetors, chrome air filters, a new radiator, and a new electric fuel pump.

This unibody Austin-Healey was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, and a solid rear drive axle. According to the seller, new springs and shocks have been installed.

@oneprw – @Mikedeb The May 30th response to a question says, in part: paint has been touched up in it, it's all original. My information and recollection suggests the following: They were available in green, yellow, beige, white, dark “cherry” red and light blue. Early cars were available in “dark green” initially, and that color was later changed to leaf green after car 9920. I don't recall silver being an original color, But the seller's response seems to suggest that the paint is original, please clarify Thanks. ...

The car is completely silver There is no signs of any other color on the car but silver under the seats in the trunk under the hood
